I wonder whether anyone could give me some advice please about Mirena. I am thinking of using it but am a bit concerned because I have heard that it can cause high BP and migraine or depression. Is there anyone else of my age (39)who has used it?
hello. i have had the mirena for several years now (i'm forty one) .it hurt like hell when they put it in, but no pain since. the wonderful thing has been that i don't bleed at all, the tiny bit that comes out is absorbed by my body before it goes down the vaginal canal. however i do think that the hormones in it, small amount that they are, has had some effect on my body. but i am extremely hormone sensitive, that's why i can't take the pill. it has not caused high bp or migraines, as for depression i am bipolar, haven't noticed it being any worse than usual.
