I've been having trouble finding info of regional gatherings in the area. I can't make it to the Portland potlucks because I work on Sundays. Anybody have any info on how I can stay connected locally, without attending the potlucks? I guess I'll try the lightline # and ask for markan. I've never tried leaving a message, I just have heard the pre recorded one about where and when the potlucks are.
I will be hosting a Rainbow Family Potluck at my home. So far Marken has almost thirty names, some people are driving in from British Columbia!! We don't have a definate date, as I'm waiting for more people to contact me directly to get a good time for it to take place so most people can come. Please contact me , Cheshire a.k.a. Ellen at ellen@evesrevenge.com. It is now in the list of events in the N.W, calender of events. I can't wait, and I hope all who crave will come, and all who are open minded and curious will also come. Newbies, greenies are welcome. Bring your children. Remember, this is a FREE event. All that anyone asks is that you bring positive energy, any musical talent, or even if you feel you aren't talented, bring your voice and drums or guitars, or even two sticks to clang together for a drum or guitar circle. Please let me know if you plan on bringing your dog, since I have three cats. The dogs can go onto my backyard, which is big and privacy-fenced in. If you tell me ahead of time, we can have provisions for the doggies, so they can feast also. All suggestions are strongly requested, and will be taken most seriously. I am not directly in downtown Seattle, but my home is tops, twenty minutes from there. Most likely, this will be vegetarian. If you are pure vegan, you probably should bring a dish, since most who are veg. still are lacto/ovo eaters, and I don't want anyone feeling uncomfortable. Remember, all Rainbow rules still appply. One that is at the top of my list is NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES. This is becuase with some people, not all, but many people feel that alcohol brings about aggresssive feelings and actions. People still sneak it into gatherings, but I'm telling you that folksters don't appreciate it. Also, I don't want anyone driving drunk. I'm sorry if no alcohol is a bummer, but it is the same way at every gathering and potluck that I have ever been to. Most other gifts of the earth are fine and appreciated. Hope to see all interested there. If you can't find a ride, contact me so we can try to hook up some carpools. Bob, you better come!! Also please bring your favorite C.D.'s so that we can have a variety of music. I am realy looking forward to this, and have already gotten replies just one day after Marken put in the list of events! People have been waiting, and like me, are very excited to soak up some of that love that can only be rainbow. Barter Fairs are great, but that is not the same as a potluck for getting to know each other. Hope to talk to ya or see you there!!!!! Hello brothers and sisters, It has been a while since I've had the time to write to you, but I am putting together this potluck, and mainly young boys seem to be getting in touch. By the way, a "brother" calling himself "Michael" got in touch with me about the potluck. He said he has been to tons. Yeah,right. He was BEYOND even space camp kitchen. He said that only HE is an honest man, that we are all liars and phonies. I asked him what he did, and you probably guessed it, NOT A DAMN THING. Mamma and Daddy help this poor guy. He needs all the help he can get. I am a social worker, and I work with street prostitutes and junkies, getting them free AIDS tests after 11 session with me about HIV, and this guy said he "heals" people by using his computer on some site "tele-----". WOW!! He claims that everyone is a liar, and even though he wants to attend gatherings, he even told me he would NEVER invite any of us to stay with him. He also said that health care in the U.S. is free. HUH???? I have been without insurance before, and I'm tellin you, it ain't free. You might think you are getting it for free if you are on Medicaid, but unfortunately, those days are soon to be over, judging by the political climate internationally. Soaring Eagle, you should HEAR what he said about you!!! Call me or e-mail me directly and we'll talk. Michael sent me this sad letter, that is why I even called him. It said, Hi, I'm nice and cool, and I need some friends. I felt for him. Now I know the reason he is soooo lonely. He is onviously in need of psychotropic meds for his "magical thinking", which is great if you are three years old, but 35? But, he HEALS, remember? Oh, not by giving to anything, or even voluteering because according to him, "Everyone is a Liar" He is the ONLY honest man in the world. He even called into judgement about what my sweet, funny detective father did for a living before a drunk driver took him out. Oh, how I wish I could call my brick wall of a Dad and laugh about this creature. Sorry, Michael, I know that rainbow is not exclusive, and that everyone is welcome, but honestly, the letter that you wrote shows you to be a desperate loner who wants to convert people to YOUR GOD. Sorry, it ain't that way with me or any of the others I talked to about you. He hangs around, he said, with the Love Isreal folks, but I bet they say differently. He wants to "start" a few communes around the U.S. I guess either Mamma will pay or the suckers who think he is the real deal. Sorry to say this, but you are not at all welcome at my home for ANY REASON. He doesn't believe in voting, so I don't care about his opinion about ANYTHING. He said almost everybody at gatherings loot and steal, yet he never heard the phrase "Shanta Seena." Who has ever been to even ONE without hearing that or finding out about it from others? Wow, that was a very bizarre conversation with a very sad man. But, he is also angry and puts EVERYONE down. He is an equal opportunity fool. But, Michael, if I ever see you on the streets of Seattle, at night, talking with the pimps and girls, and handing out new syringes, I will take back everything I have said. But like you said, you have no time because you are "healing" people from behind this machine. Get some fresh air Mike, you need alot. I felt like I was in session with a very sick client. By the way, Tori Amos, who I've met, and who you worship, would not like your ways of talking and thinking. Get someone PROFESSIONAL to "heal" you. You are so sad and you desperately need help. You are not dumb but very misguided. And I wish I knew who was letting you take care of their child a few times a month, I would warn them. By the way ladies, he said he wants to meet you to impregnate you. I understand why he doesn't have anyone even at 35. Soooo sad. But, you are out of your head too, and I don't have the energy to deal with you. It is a very, very sad situation. I would love to redo grad school just to do a dissertation on ol'Mike. I would probably get a Nobel for it. Heaven knows there is a MASS of material. A very tired Cheshire Cat who isn't smiling at this moment. It is way too sad.
oh my... that was a mildly entertaining post. sad true, but a tad enlightening as well. I'll make sure to steer clear of any michaels ^_^
