hmmm...that is interesting... i rmember i once saw a "discovery" program about the plauges that were rained upon Egypt... for example...the Nile turning to blood could have been a large algae bloom, the turning day to night could have been a volcanic eruption [and i think they presented evidence that a volcano erupted some time that fits with the biblical time and the ash would have spread to Egypt] they had others, but i cant rememebr them anywho...i also rememebr another one where they said a tsunami could have also been coming which pulled the water out [but i think this one was also in corrilation with the sea of reeds] then when it came, it hit the Pharoah's army... but yeah, nice link seahorse
And so more and more it is appears to simply be but mythology based upon some semi fact and exagerated with tales of god and such. Hardly surprising. That's how many primitive people's were you know, making up silly stories to explain natural phenomena they lacked the understanding of.
I saw something about this on the National Geographic channel once. One wednesday (for the next few weeks at least) they have a program called "Science of the Bible" which is usually really interesting. They do a scientific study of events/areas/people/things...just about anything they can of the Bible. I googled it, found a link about the program here: http://channel.nationalgeographic.com/channel/scienceofbible/episodes.html The bible is a valuable book for scientists and historians. Almost nothing like it exists, there aren't many books that give us such insight to the way life was for people then.
i think this site is awesome and we could all learn something here...Athiests and Christians alike. http://www.godandscience.org/
I saw something once about the red sea have a ridge, and could be parted by certain wind patterns, sor something. Cant remember much of it. Thats cool and all, but i have read that there is (supposed) proof that Moses never existed and there was never a mass exodus of Jews from Egypt anyway, so I guess science cancels the two out.
I just cant find why some scientific explanation to the miracles of the bible would be interesting. They are just explanations made to explain some things without God. I know God and he has spoke and taught me and I have faced Christ once. All this is possible so where do I need an explanation which shuts God out? God did it. If it is possible to happen without God, fine. A fire can start without someone putting it on, but it can also start without it. It doesnt mean anything when we are thinking is there a person who can put something on fire.
