the jury is still out (and probably always will be) regarding exactly when God created the angels....some say the first day(which would make the angels a very significant part of heaven), some the fifth (which would imply that the angels were created specifically to the earth)....Some say they are recreated by Him, eternally.

What does define an angel from a human is Gods "gift" of free will....angels are meant to be no more than an extension of God's presence and will...usually here on earth, where they carry out his will....extensions of Him, if you prefer.....mindless beings that exist only to serve...Human's have free will, a gift He denied to the Angels.....so no, unless a human were to give up his free will, he/she could never become an angel.

...of course, The Morning Star had differente ideas and started that whole war in Heaven thing...but that's a different story

The Morning Star, the Shining One, was a Roman god that god stuck in the wrong smear campaign.

Someone else opposed Yahweh, Lucifer just got a bad rap.

BUT it is late, and i have no more theological debate left in me for the night.

    SO with that, goodnight.

*nods* as Lucifer has the latin root Lux you can draw parrellel with many other pantheons.....prometheus from the greek, in roman astrology luicfer was literally Venus, the morning star......even Lugh the celtic god could be connected (although traditionally the worship of Lugh would be hidden in a church to St Micheal)...but then, the Abrianic traditions have ever stolen from existing religions.......

While in visions an angel spoke to John, in the book of Revelation, John fell down at his feet to worship the angel, but the angel said something to John that offers great insight into the nature of angels. The angel's statement can be found in Rev. 19:10.

I have many stories like that, but here is one. I was in Lapland, 1000 thousand kilometers from the south coast of Finland. When the weekend came I felt an urgent need to leave to south coast to see my friend. I didn't have his phone number, I didn't know where he lives. Only thing I knew was that he is studying in one city something about books. I took a train and a bus and was next morning in that city. I started to ask people where would be a school where they teach about books. There were couple of them, and I picked one.

I went to the school and asked from the office is friend studying there. They said yes and told me where to find him. So I walked in to the class while they were having their computer lessons and went to stand by my friend and said Hi. I have never seen my friend that amazed. He said to me How can I be there of all of his friends when he is having the worst time of his life. I went to his house and talked and prayed a lot and we shared things to each other. He is not a believer and we had had some arguing about things, but after that we have had a very good relationship. I understood that I was led there by the Holy Spirit.

Nice story but not with a nice end though. Next day I was high of my "spirituality" and being in the right place. I left from there and went to a busstop. There was an alcoholic sitting on a bench. I thought Here comes the saviour and went to him. But what I said to him was nothing like Christ. I said to him Do you know that drinking alcohol is a sin and you are going to hell (a wiev I do not share anymore in that size)? He looked at me amazed and before he said anything there came my bus. I said to him sorry, my bus came, turned my back to him (what an idiot I was) and took couple of steps, but then he said something that stopped me and has followed me since then.

He said to me Here you came, shot me and left me bleeding. It was ice cold water on my back. I stopped... but continued and left. I have never been that stupid before or since. Going to say something like that to a man I dont know, whos life I dont know, never saying anything of love or forgivenes or even a thought of helping him in some way.

So at the same trip I got to feel being an angel and a demon, a christ and an antichrist. I have to say it changes you a bit. But it was a lesson of being led by The Holy Spirit and being led by an ego. I have since then tried to follow the first.

Was about to start an overempassioned debate about that one but realised that you're probably being ironic.

A person can not be an angel in the literal sense of a halo and wings etc etc etc. Being a bit of cynic of thought that spirituality is a great deal more than metaphor, I believe that angels are those forces that come to us in times of need and change our lives for the better.

This can easily include humans. There are a number of people in my life who I refer to as "my angels" for that exact reason. Indeed, a number of people refer to me as such on the same grounds. I don't take this sentiment TOO seriously because I know that wings can become broken and what is pure can stain.

My angels, have at one stage or another fallen and I've done my whole hearted best to return the favour of helping them back up.

    Blessings

Biblically angels do not neccessarely have wings. There are cherubs and serafs which are said to have wings, but in other occasions wings are not mentioned. The name angel comes from a greek word angelos, which means a messenger. In the bible the pastors of the church have been called angels as in revelation "To the angels of the seven churches..." The message was not to angels but to men who were servants of God.

Gabriel or Mikael are not described to have wings. Usually angels are said to be men when they have appeared (in the bible I mean), but of one teaching of Jesus it has been drawn that angels would not be neither male nor female. This would mean that when it is said in genesis that the sons of God (Gen 6:2) took daughters of men, they would not have literally been sons of God or angels, but sons of seth which would have been the chosen lineage. There are though testimonies that people have been sexually abused by demons, so dont know for sure what to think of angels.

I have usually thought them to be something else than men and be servants of God. Jesus tells that little ones have angels in heaven who take care of them.

Its can be said that Lugh, Lugus and Lucifer are the same deity
of some older Indo-European pantheon, but with different stories
evolving in their different areas of the world after the tribes
    went their different ways.

But for safety sake, as i always do, i worship Lugh as Lugh,
not Lucifer, because Lugh is in my ancestry, while Lucifer is not.
