I was wondering if someone has possibly seen this movie and could tell me the title. It came on IFC a year or so ago. It was about a kid whose father died of a heart attack and he moves to a new town, where he meets a recluse who is an orphan. He realizes after a while that this friend is emotionally unstable. Anyway, in the end (I can't remember in great detail) the unstable one goes on a violent rampage gets killed in a struggle when his friend tries to take away his gun. I wrote down the title but can't seem to find it; tried ifc.com, google and imdb, to no avail. I remember it was significant because it was prior to Columbine yet mirrored it quite closely. No, not unless he had a really really small part that I didn't notice him in. As I recall, this film was like incredibly independent and thus I don't remember there being any remotely famous people involved with it. I'm starting to think about just emailing IFC because I've run countless word search possibilities in IMDB, Google, etc. but none seem to match a plot. I'm beginning to think I just imagined the whole blasted thing lol.
No, sorry to be so unhelpful. I think I'll just give it up. I emailed IFC and no one recognizes it, and I've searched Sundance's archives, as well as IMDB. So, if it's this hard to find out the title, I imagine I couldn't find a copy of it anyway, right? I think I might have taped some of it when I saw it come on last time. I'll look for it and see if I can find it. If I do I'll post it. Thanks for your help.
