Hey people, I was plannin on heading up to Yasgur's 35th anniversary thing. The website says there's no camping allowed, so what the fuck is everyone gonna do? Could anyone shed some light on this? Woodstock without camping is like swimming without peeing, you'd be missing the best part. WEB SITE HERE: http://www.yasgurroad.com/index.html
They're not saying you can't camp, cause ur right that wouldn't be woodstock, they're just saying read the definition, and as far as i can tell if you camp for less than 3 days it's ok. but i know for sure it's not no camping so relax. even the message boards say it's ok. i plan to definitely be there myself. Peace&hugs
I'm going too but I have a back up plan because they are going by a dictionary deffinition not by the terms set forth by the town of Bethel. Which means they are breaking the agreement with the town and the cops will surely come to try and get people to leave. I don't know about you but I wont be in good enough condition to talk to the cops. I hope all turns out well regardless.
I did not go in 2003 because of all the old alcoholics, kids on drugs they could not handle, crack, junk, extuzzy, the prick owner Roy(narc), the red dust, no drinkin water, shitfull shitters, no real music.
Does any one even know if they got their permits to hold this? They were supposed to find out Tuesday night. Experienced Haze I know what they're trying to do BUT I also know what they're supposed to do and they are two different things. So like I said I'm playing it safe and I'm going with a back up plan just in case.
P.S... One of the reasons there is such confusion about the whole "camping" thing is because of insurance purposes. If you "camp/sleep" on that property, they are held responsible for injuries, thefts, overdoses, etc...... If you are not "camping/sleeping", it is merely considered an outdoor event and it costs' less $$$$$$ to insure and get certain permits.
Just come ready for a great time! Do not worry about the no camping/sleeping thing! It's all going to be okay! Just come ready for any kind of weather. Come prepared to show love, and help your brothers and sisters out! And be kind to the folks in town! I have been going back to the garden since 99 and it is a great time every year! It is what I look forward to every summer. Just be kind to each other, respect others and the property, and everything's gonna be all right! BTW disregard what fumbucker said. Except DO find Vernville when you get to the farm. We'd love to see you, and say hi. Love and light, Wisconsin Rob
I wold love to go to the farm for a visit but not during this reunion. The more pictures I see and the more stories I hear it sounds like a drag. I have nothing against having a good time, but I don't understand people who show up at this event looking to make money selling drugs, it shouldnt be about that............
