God these guys must be my favorite band right now.. Everything they've point out is just so great on a level that's otherworldly. It's blissful music. Space-age bachelor pad jams, indeed. Please tell me someone else here likes them.

I've only heard Mars Audiac Quintet, and that was a while ago at a friend's house..

I just did some searching for them though, and wow, I really wanna hear more!

 

they make a surreal sound that I think you would like

I have this. I always forget to check out their other stuff. I quite like them.

 

Yeah...they write some pretty melodies. I'd describe their music as retro cosmic lounge pop.

 

I only got the first half of the aforementioned album that I mentioned afore.. before..

they sound pretty cool.

 

Oh yeah I've loved for a really long time now... I posted a thread about them on Planet Gong like 2 years ago... they remind me of CAN.
