I've seen maybe one episode of "sweet sixteen" and that's all I can handle...this girl's mother brought her breakfast in bed, and when she was done, she started yelling for her mtoher, who was on the other side of the house apparently. SO the girl actually called her mom on the cell phone, and asked her what she should do with the dirty plates. AND that brat got a new car. Wtf. MTV can lick my nads. I remember seeing an episode of the Real World, and this guy's mom died, and the camera crew filmed everything he did, including when he got the call from his dad saying his mother died.
oh my god... that laguna beach show makes me seriously queasy... i cant belive people can be entertained by that giant pile of shit... the acting is horrible and the plot is fucking non-existant...
i think sweet 16 is ridiculous, but if you watch closely, MTV definitely makes them look like spoiled little brats. i mean they show them freaking out and crying and backtalking their parents and acting like rotten little children, so i think MTV at least didn't sugarcoat it, all the way that is. they definitely portray these girls as what they are and they spin it so we all think they are brats...not saying that they aren't, they most certainly are the worst group of kids ive ever seen...
I have an idea for a new season: MTV in the East! MTV's 'sweet-sixteen-girls' in a Thailand or Soviet Russian prison. That will give some good moments :X
I agree, the show is dung, but even these impressionable sponges we call the "youth" im sure have enough inteligence to kow that they need not bother asking their parents for a new suv, so mtv is doing a good job of saying "this is what not to be like"
Some Mtv shows are good. I like the challenges the best. But sweet 16 is so out of reality it's funny!!!!! the girls are so out of it, you just have to laugh. I went to boarding school(my mom was the school nurse there for 2 years) and a lot of the girls were kinda like that. But, nowhere near as bad. Sadly, my half sister thinks these girls are cool, and wants her birthday just like them.... she wants a brand new car too- a "solstice" or the new "sky" I didnt get my first new car till last year, and the young age of 27! hehe. I highly doubt she will. any parent that would spend $300,000 plus on a stupid 16 year olds birthday party, is just desperate, they want to be "cool" in their kids eyes so badly, and they dont know what the hell to do with their money..........
ps.............they could go on the best vacation of their lives for a less than a quarter of that... a party is what? 4 hours?
i've seen that show a few times and i always feel so good. i might be poor but man, i'm 1000000 happier than any of those kids.
Teenagers on MTV and into shit like that makes me so mad, my 16th birthday party was me taking some friends into woods at the night, then getting my sisters husband to scare the fuck out of them with a chainsaw, lmao it was priceless... We had fun, I got a 3rd generation hand me down Jeep, and I love it, it messes up sometimes, but I aint complaining. But yeah it is fucking sick the way this world is now so materialistic and fixed on an outside image that will be organic matter being sucked up by the nearest plant life 100 years from now... Im just sitting here waiting for civilization to fall back upon its self.
God... i was just talking about this show in my english class. it honestly makes me sick how spoiled and bitchy these kids are and the fact the MTV is glorifying this behavior is even worse. who in there right mind would spend so much money for one night??? i could throw a far more kick ass party with 100 dollars in beer and bud and an empty house. lol. all teeners they show on mtv are such tools and really could use a reality check
I totally agree. The people on those shows are so selfish and ignorant! It's really horrible. Take care. x
it's the parent's fault.... there'd be a cold day in hell before my kid acts like that...id have to plant my foot in their ass... the parents give these spoiled kids everything, so they are not use to disappointment and basically, the parents get what they put in...
This show sounds ridiculous! I can't believe people would give their kids new cars and expensive parties for their sixteenth birthday. My 16th birthday was in June and I think my mom ran out and bought a cake or something, but otherwise I don't really remember it. It's horrible that people are squandering money like that. Rather than convincing your parents to waste money on your birthday, you could be using it to help people, traveling the world and ammeliorating the effects of poverty, or at least giving it to charity. It seems surreal that someone would have so much money and be completely consumed by the issue of having a super-expensive birthday party. In love, Diana
