Did any of you hippie momies do this?

Just a seriously creative and most likely distrubing question... Did any of you momies take LSD before giving bearth or before actually conceving the baby. If you did, my question is to you, how did you feel, what thoughts did you have, and what feelings did you have while experiencing the birth. Don't be too offended by this post it is of course a hippy site, so I hope you're 99.9% liberal, I mean that's the only logicaly decission an open minded person could think, liberal, right? Keep going, journey to the end, adventure feeds my chemical being, and love with have nothing to do with those chemicals and that's why I have to share 25% of my chemical (consious) being with them. Does that make sense, and don't say totally, because no one ever is totally totally totally on with another person, it's just not true, they're alway always just a little off. There should be a science within that theory, thoughts? Maybe I'm simply lieing to myself being the pesamist saying I'm and optimist. Have you ever woundered that? What if naturally, we're all wired up to be a certain percentage opt. and a certain % pess. % Thoughts? Lazyness is the biggest controller of all of human societies, fight that and wrote down what you think! That's a liberal, loving, peace sign giving order. A person who orders people around isn't automatically an asshole. We need a leader no a days, don't you think. Who is really out there speak'n the word now days, telling people about peace love harmony and freedom in everyone's life? The answer is nobody, nobody, nobody FUKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK, why not. We're way to enthralled by the fuck'n TV. It would be so simple to do this over the internet, correct me if I'm wrong, but this isn't happening anywhere that I know of in America. I hope I am wrong, please tell me. I'm out, please post on the site if you have any thought at all, don't be lazy, be creative.

LSd and pregnancy are a bad idea...the lsd makes the stomach muscles contract strongly and irregularly during the trip and can cause pain,discomfort,miscarriage,injury to the baby or injury to the mother....none of which are happy things that one wants to deal with while trippin.

why would ANYONE want to do LSD while their pregnant??????!!!!!!!! thats a stupid idea. anyone that does LSD while theyre carrying their baby doesnt deserve to have a child. im a very open minded person, but im also not a freakin idiot, and a person that wants to harm their growing baby is, in my mind. liberal. hmf. LSD users can have violent behavior, which may cause harm to the baby if the mother hurts herself. i know a girl who had done shrooms and was trippin, and she ended up cutting all of her hair off, and found laying in the middle of the street naked and the cops found her and took her in. you have no control over what your doing or whats in your mind when your trippin. i seriously dont think there are any mothers that would go and do hard core drugs while their carrying their loved one.

 

So that explains why my stomach always hurt after a long trip LOL

About the original question in the OP (um...was there one LOL). I haven't tripped since high school but remember those days very clearly. I wouldn't want to use LSD in pregnancy and especially while giving birth! I'm very aware and in control while tripping but I over analize things to an extream. I would start to doubt my abilty to carry this child or birth or parent this child and after the trip I would go into a temporary depression untill my mind went back to a non-trip state.

I would reccomend againt using LSD in PG.

 

Well, violence isn't really considered a common side effect of acid. But, LSD CAN cause uterine contractions. In fact, when you hemoragge after birth, there is a drug, closely related to LSD (an ergotimine drug) which is given to make the uterus contract and clamp down to stop the bleeding. Also, in areas where the rye was contaminated with Ergot, one of the main problems seen was miscarraige and premature birth. But these womyn got a LOT more Lysergic than a hit of acid.

In large enough doses, at least theoretically, LSD might cause preterm labor or miscarraige. However, in several tests done on children whose mothers used LSD while pregnant in the 1960s found no differences between the babies of them and babies of mothers who abstained from this drug.

BUT, in pregnancy, unless a drug is needed for medical reasons, it is really best to stay away from it, while you are growing an other person inside of you.

Oh~to answer the OP's question (or what I think was the question)......I took acid A LOT before I conceived, but never during pregnancy.

It's been 7 years since I've tripped. I don't think I could handle it anymore. I think I would be way too paranoid about something happening to my children while I was tripping and then I would freak out.

To answer your question George, no, I never did LSD while pregnant. I've actually never done it even once in my lifetime. Never will either.

Heck, I didn't even want to take Ibuprofen for pain relief during my pregnancies.

Drumminmama, I bet that is a trip. I'm PG with my third and this will be my first natural birth and I'm so excited to feel those natural rushes of awesome hormones. I've read Ina May's guide to childbirth and the pictures of women in "extacy" during transition and pushing come to my mind often I'm just so excited to feel it

As for the OP re: tripping during conseption, I'm sure it's been done many times with no harm to the babes, you just never know when you're actually going to concieve ya know. I mean you could dose up and have sex (and have alot of fun ) but you'd have to be trippin many days in a row to get a shot at conseption.

 

I took a half 8th of mushrooms probably in the first few weeks of pregnancy. Those a crucial times for a developing baby inside it's mother. I didn't know at the time I was pregnant. When I found out I was pregnant I was very worried. When I found out I was pregnant I didn't do any drugs of anykind because I wanted a healthy baby. I would not do lsd while pregnant...not to mention a lot of that crap isnt even pure and is cut with things you don't even want to know waht your ingesting let alone giving it to an unborn child. Basicly you have 9 months...I don't understand why people can't just stay off drugs that long.

i had a really bad mushrooms trip when eden was about a week after conception (ie, before i knew i was pregnant) and was also terrified, but there were no problems with him, hes a beautiful, perfect child, theres no reaserch ever been done as its unethical, so there is only anecdotal evidence, but i went to see the mushroom seller when i found out i was pregnant and he said that taken later in pregnancy mushrooms will make the baby trip like you do, not good, poor kid (who would do that to a baby) but that there were no KNOWN side effects from mushrooms early in pregnancy, but as its the same chemical (practically) that is in LSD, its not a good idea.
