Kay, the selfmade richman is a rarity these days.
And ifyou think the president doesn't have any control over the economy then you are just plain ignorant. True it is an entirely different beast, but the president is the one in charge of feeding it, if it gets fed the wrong stuff, it flounders (i'll think i'll stop with the metaphor now, incase you flame me because you think I think that the economy is a lion at the national mall or something).

our country has long believed in incremetal taxing, basically it is because the top 10% don't need the money as much as the middle or lower class. And the vast vast majority of tax cuts (both of them) went to the top 10%, even more than proportional to what they pay, the entire lowering taxes for everyone is really just a ploy, and i can't believe people actually buy into it.

Can you give me PROOF that most of the money went to the top 10%? Where does the president have control over the economy? Does he make jobs? no. Does he take jobs? No. He can influence interest rates, and propose tax cuts. In the end it's our congress that has any control over the economy. As far as self-made rich men go, we're talking making 100,000K a year which sets them in this top 10%, not a millions.

I'd rather have Kerry elected than have Bush stay in office. I'm sick of a "president" with so many lies and "scandals" (which most people dont seem to realize) in their administration, and I'm also sick of the country being ran by a monkey dressed as a man.

And some people have to wake up and realize nader wont get elected. And the only alternative we have to Bush, is Kerry.

I'd prefer for this war not to be about oil, but for this war to turn into something Kerry will have a plan to get us out of. Kerry has a brain. He served for his country in the army..

I prefer him to a liberal jackass hell-bent on boosting his ego, and a mindless republican jackass forming so many lies that his poor little brain cant handle..

Why do some people assume that all people who voted for Nader would have voted for Gore if Nader didn't run. It's so stupid.

Hell, I think Gore is as much of a stooge as Bush.

But damn, this crap coming from the Democrats about Nader is just flat-out garbage. I'd rather vote for Nader than for some corporate puppet like Kerry. I couldn't care less if Bush or Kerry wins, we're doomed either way, the way I see it.

Besides, it depends on what state you live in, so to automatically assume that every vote for Nader is a vote for Bush is just ignorant and simply untrue, and is just more bullshit propaganda coming from the phony Democrats who have every bit the same agenda as the Republicans.

I support Nader all the way.

Yea I agree with that last post completely. It's idiots who ignorantly believe that they MUST vote for a 'lesser of the two evils' instead of voting their conscience that fuck this country up. if people voted for who they really believed in, perhaps the votes would have went like this.

    Green 15%
    Libertarian 25%
Some other party (you get my point here) 20%
    Republicans 10%
    Democrats 20%

in other words, its idiots who claim the lesser of two evils who have doomed us to our 'two' party system.

If he is re-elected, and keeps his policies the same....i say there could be a youth culture awakening similar to what we saw when Nixon was elected.

I dunno, living in the Midwest I doubt that Libertarians and Greens and such would have such a good showing even in the scenario you portray, though I would like that to happen. There are lots of flag-wearing tradition-loving rednecks around here that are pretty much Republican and reactionary. And there are lots of these kinds of people around... I think there are too many conservatives around in the US nowadays for the left to have much success if it were divvied up into parties. The right is just less prone to such divisions and is more likely to just rally behind the Republicans. Though perhaps it just seems like this to me having grown up in smaller towns and the Midwest.

Our country was set up as a two party system...its a bitch. The systems in Europe are extremely complex, but it sure is worth it to have proportional representation, and options!
