I like Paul Weller's version of the Beatles "Sexy Sadie". Paul Weller sounds like Eric Clapton. I think Eric Clapton should have did a cover of "Sexy Sadie".
I love clapton's I shot the sheriff the band's I shall be released ccr's I heard it through the grapevine jeff buckley's if you see her, say hello guns n roses knockin on heaven's door and a lot of the ones already mentioned
Widespread Panic does a good version of peace frog, and for best cover of a cover is Dave Mathews band, John Popper, and Trey doing All Along the Watchtower.
Eh, could but shouldn't. That cover literally hurt my ears. Favorite cover would have to be Yes' cover of America by Simon and Garfunkel.
ok first of all i love led zeppelin...i really do, omg i'm such a fan...but frank zappa did a great version of stairway to heaven...he really did. and ofcourse, hard to handle sung by pigpen is awesome. oh and the flying burrito brothers version of wild horses...
phish-loving cup (stones) grateful dead-its all over now baby blue(dylan) porno for pyros-ripple(the dead)
Eddie Vedder "Got to hide your love away" Dave Matthews version of "All along the watchtower" Warren Haynes version of "Soulshine" and "One" theres more just cant think of them
This one goes back along way, somewhere around 1968. A Detroit band called Frijid Pink did a Kick-Ass cover of House Of the Rising Sun. Also liked Metallica cover of Seger's Turn the Page.
I love Deep Purple's cover of "Help" by The Beatles. I get chills every time I listen to it. It's beautiful!
Not the best ( Jimi/Watchtower=best) but a few good ones, all by Siouxsie & the Banshees: Dear Prudence Trust In Me Passenger
my favorite cover is Siouxsie & the Banshees cover of Helter Skelter this is a great version of it. JOn
I can't remember which one, but i've got a live show of Hot Buttered Rum String Band doing Elton Johns "rocketman" awesome.
