Datura, Belladonna

I've only attempted Belladonna use once out of a tea with no success, just a aching feeling and a slight opium trip sensation. A good friend of mine though, has had a good experience with Datura. Since theyre so close in family and just comparison, I was wondering if anyone knows of sufficient experiences they have had or factual scientific knowledge. Finally, which one do you prefer?

HEE HEEEE!!! i dont know guey, but i dont mind finding out. seriously though, Atropa Belladona is a poisonous deleriant. it makes you virtually react with entities not realistically present. just need more info. one 'did you know' i got though is how Benadryl's active ingredient diphenhydramine crosses the blood-brain barrier in the central nervous system causing the effects in the auditory and visual cortex. fukkin tript out man

 

eat about like 5-10 seeds and if that doesnt work, slowly work your way up. that may be too much though, ive read reports on erowid that say they only ate half a leaf of it....so this is pretty potent stuff, and not something you want to necessarily have a high dose for your first time doing it im currently growing it but have never taken it alone, ive only experienced it as an admixture in ayahuasca brews.

 

I can't believe people would support datura. IT IS A POISON/DELIRIANT! Go read through erowid. Only an idiot would try to "trip" with datura.

 

I've read that diphenhidramine is derived from belladonna and datura. I've had extremely high doses of diphenhidramine and, based on what I've read about belladonna and datura, it causes almost identical effects. Not very pleasant. It also has the potential to be deadly poisonous, even when used at moderate doses. So if you choose to explore belladonna, datura, or diphenhidramine, be careful. But I would advise to abstain from ANY use of these substances.

 

A diphenhidramine trip isnt that bad, you just get that "i cant sit still or my heart will blow out of my fucking chest" feeling. but you just gotta keep twitchin and youll be fine.

One of my Belladonna trips was that feeling of the restlessness.But I always have those open eyed visuals(Could be a combiniation of an Acid flashback,and the Belladonna's effects.) But with it,I see things melting.Odd eh?Everything from furniture,photos,appliances...occasionaly a person's clothes would just ozze slowly into amorphous colorful piles of semi organic glop,though my dosage wasn't completely overboard.However,I did feel incredibley tired and just drained from the high.

Though it's not something I'd do recreationaly,atleast,it's an experience nonetheless.

 

I ate 30 seeds (Which i highly do Not recomend) and i tripped pretty hardcore. I didnt relize how poisonous datura was at the time when i ate them or i probably wouldnt of. but my trip was pretty cool i must say...my vision was all crazy.

 

They are deleriants, meaning they literally make you go delerious. The trips are bad a majority of the time, often ending in arrest or hospitalization. They're dangerous not only in that they're very chemically poisonous, but also in that you'll completely lose your concept of reality to the point where you'll do dangerous things and not even realize that you're doing them.

Read about them on Erowid if you're still thinking of trying them. Even Erowid labels them as extremely harmful and doesn't condone their use.

 

I'm not sure how they would lead to arrest, other than that the user often doesn't know what he/she does, because these anticholinergics block transmission of acetylcholine (which is responsible for memory) at the muscarinic ACh receptor sites. Datura isn't scheduled.

I once (like a real idiot) took a bunch of benztropine mesylate.... I basically left the teapot on the burner ALL NIGHT (it was ruined), staggered around the house mumbling to myself, and plopped down in the hallway to attempt to study...my mom's account of what happened, because I had no recollection whatsoever.

people, don't be stupid... refrain from taking anticholinergics, especially large amounts, for recreation. These are not something you want to mess with.

 

I am writing this in the hopes that it will prevent someone else from severe injury. This is not a report of how I am affected by the drug Datura but by my nephew who is in very, very bad shape. My 16 year old nephew is currently in I.C.U. and still after 36 hours is incoherent and nearly comatose, he hasn't recognized any family members or his surroundings since this started. His pupils are dilated nearly the size of dimes. He is apparently in living hell as demonstrated by his horrified facial expressions of bulging eyes and uncontrollable trembling. He is continually doing sporadic mumblings, with paranoid darting eyes and scanning around the room, looking at what we can only imagine. It is very obvious that he is experiencing true terror and horrific scenes of hallucination.

His heart rate is hovering around 115 - 130 bpm and his mouth is coated with blood. He is shaking, agitated and in four points restraints (which he got out of and tried to pull the catheter out of his penis which would have resulted in severe injuries did he not get stopped in time). For the first nine hours of his 'high' we were in the dark about what could be the cause of this - ambulance drivers, fire chief, police all said it was drugs but the test results all came back negative - blood and urine samples negative. This all led the doctors to believe this was neurological and my nephew was taken for a CAT scan, where results still came back negative. We all feared the worst, brain damage, anuerism, etc. every terrifying thought came to mind. All family members were called in the middle of the night where we all rushed to the the Emergency room. We cried, worried and prayed - the younger children witnessed this chaos and won't soon forget.

If you want to try this drug, please consider what the effects of this on others will be...$20,000 hospital bill at least -ICU for days, CAT scan, Ambulance, Specialists - please take warning. We can't determine how much he took as a plant with four pods were found in his room. We still don't know if he will pull out okay or not. The doctors cannot say if there will be any long term effects. We are so worried.

everytime i see someone saying they want to try these at 15-19 i wanna scream.. fuck even if youve tripped till your 50..you should be hesitent to even concider this...what u might thinks a normal dose..enen a low dose..could be like 10,000 hits of lsd or could kill u...

Datura, Jimson Weed, Devil's Weed - a powerful substance that no person should ever have to harness mentally. It will punish you feverently and without sympathy for treading into its territory. It will laugh as it blends the terrors of your imagination with your everyday life. It is complete delerium. A momentary detachment from all that is real and true (at least how we perceive such things). If you're able to stay concious and remember the experience, you will not be able to distinguish between your fabricated projections and the solid world that dominates our every day lives. It is brutal enlightenment.

Being an experienced tripper and having done most hallucinatory substances, I decided I would take that risk. It was foolish. The experience was intense and horrifying. Every word you're about to read here is as true as I can recall it. The most miraculous thing of all being that I came out of her grasp without much damage.

On a normal summer afternoon, the seeds were aquired. I ate three big ones.

The friend who accompanied me was going to trip along, but we both decided that one should sit, being that this was unknown territory. He gave me the honor of tripping since I was a bit more experienced.

Within 15 minutes I felt physically devastated. My mouth was dry, my muscles were tense and sore and my stomach was nervous. There was no feeling in my head (no headache or anything) and it seemed suprisingly clear, though I felt drunk and incompetent.

'Dude, I'm going to close my eyes and go to sleep.' I said as I drifted off.

'Uh, ok.' Replied my friend.

His voice seemed stretched, deep. I went into a lucid dream state. This is what followed:

I was laying down in a room, choking a black cat. It thrashed and screamed. Its eyes were protruding from its skull. It fought back by clawing at my arms and face. After it died, I was absorbed by an intense thirst. I got up from where I was laying and found this deep well that was built out of metal. It's hard to explain the actual contraption, but it was shiny and new. The water within was clear and cold. I drank and drank from the well, but it could not quench my thirst. I turn around and there's a faucet spilling more precious cold water into a drain. I put my lips to it and drank like a wild animal - but it still could not quench my thirst. Then I was surrounded by water. But none of it could satisfy me. I was gong to die of dehyrdration despite vast resources... I panicked.

Bang.

My eyes opened, sort of. I was laying on the couch (not my original place of rest) and my friend was gone. When I woke, I heard stomping. Big heavy boots walking around behind me. Through the kitchen, into the bathroom. Whoever it was, they walked like a herd of buffalo. Doors opened, slammed, opened, slammed. The windows started to bulge in and out with a deep croaking moaning noise. An illogical thought entered my mind - the nukes were dropped, and this is what ground zero is like.

I got up from the couch. Fell on my face. Struggled to stand again. God damn, I was thirsty. Perhaps the dream I had was telling me to wake up and drink. I clawed my way to the sink, turned on the faucet and drank. At this point, I didn't care if it was tap water. After bloating my stomach with liquid, I looked stupidly around me.

This was not the room I was in before. Where the hell was my friend?

The stomping came again, and I looked behind me. Through the window I saw a shadow of a person. Many people, actually. They were pressing the glass inward, like it was flexible but liquid. More stomping.

What the fuck is that?

I run around the strange apartment, chasing after who was walking around. I'd follow it into a room, but then it would be in another room when I thought I caught him / her / it. I walk into the main room again, and there's a dead cat in the middle of the floor. Strangled.

I freak. Did I do this? Certainly not. The cat I strangled was black. This is a tabby.

The steps approached from behind. I turn. There's a dead man standing behind me. His mantra becomes enveloped in melancholy as he repeats it: 'you killed my cat you killed my cat you killed my cat you killed my cat...' deeper and deeper into despair.

Skip ahead.

I awaken at the bottom of some stairs, broken arm. I know I'm awake, but i'm still hallucinating. It's horrible. Insects, perspective shifting, strange ghosts about...

My friend left me alone. I scared him with my delerium. Supposedly, the straw that broke his back was when I said: 'This is the new inquisition. I am here to inquire and cause pain. Now lay down and die.'

I noticed that I was laying on the steps of an apartment about a block from my friends. Supposedly, I had been ripping at this persons door telling them to let me out of the 'endless square'. They had struggled with me and in my stupor I had fallen down the stairs.

The ambulance was called, the police were called - and the rest is pretty self-explanatory. Luckily, most authority figures in my life were understanding of my forays. They expressed sympathy and were simply glad that I was alive.

I apologized to my friend for frightening him, but quickly relieved him of any further sitting duties.

I do not regret my experience. Stil also trying to figure out what my brain was going through. Everything seemed so important but so encrypted. I was scared, but I still feel that the experience was a good lesson for me.

This drug is a battlefield of the mind and body. Do not even attempt to try it unless you're 100% ready to deal with the consequences.

Let me just say this, it's safer to take a whole gram of meth injected straight into your corrodid than to eat 10 datura seeds!!!


If you look at the numbers, the death to use ratio of datura is 3x higher than meth, X, coke, and heroin combined. I've used it 4x in increasing doses and no experience was pleasant. The trips were summerized like this; #1) barley noticable #2) extreme creepiness with hundreds of short random non-complete scenarios (things like trees in the room not entire realities like going to the moon, just additives and was able to distingush from reality) hallucinations with few things from my life (e.g. dead relitives vistiting me) #3) intense realistic scenarios unable to tell if I was hallucinating and many past experiences brought back up to the surface (pretty much overall the oppisite of the last trip) #4) very vague; not alot of memories from that night or about 2 weeks after but I remember it being mildly unpleasant before I peaked. Most of the horror I can't remember but I know that I woke up 19 miles from my house with a broken wrist, collar bone, and ankle - a bleeding ear - a shallow cut starting at my pelvis and extenting at an 80 degree angle to about 2" below my left nipple - and 29 teeth...from what I'm told by the trucker who found me. That was from 19 seeds. I spent 19 days in the hospital including 8 days in ICU. I am still paying off the $39,411.07 medical bill.

I don't think I need to say anymore or not to try it.

 

I'VE DONE DATURA PROBABLY ABOUT 10 TIMES EVERY TIME I HAD A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, NOT ONLY DOES IT MAKE YOU SEE SHIT THAT IS LIKE LIVING IN A HORROR FILM, YOU CAN ACTUALLY FEEL WHATS HAPPENING I HAD MY LEG CUT OFF ( not really ) but when i was trippin i could actually feel and see the leg gone, You dont even want to know the description of the disgusting creature that took it off.
