    just curious...

    so... does anybody, anybody at all, listen to blues? not blues-based music (which is a great deal of popular music produced since the dawn of rock-and-roll), but the actual genre of blues. i dont know, so i figgered id ask

    I listen more often to blues rock, though.
    Smokestack lightning is a great song, do you know the George Thorogood version?

    twould be a 'yes' to answer your question... but i dont dig thorogood at all. heard the howlin wolf version? i like it better than the dead's rendition, and that is saying a lot :p

    Smokestack lightnin' is a good song AND a good band (also much less known).

    It was staple of Garage Rock covers.. .and I love almost every version of it!

    Yeah I love the blues, I gotta write a blues song for my music GCSE work soon, then reggae and dance etc.

    I love their version of Who do you love as well, however it doesn't beat Bo Diddley's version.

    i love the blues robert johnson is one of my all time favorite musicians and im learning a bunch of muddy waters songs on guitar

    Canned Heat are good for the ol' Blues....Also Willie Dixon ,Fleetwood Mac.

    Yes, I'm lsitening to some Blues these days from the earlier half of the 20th century. I 'm lsitening to them for a course I'm taking about the roots of Rock 'n' Roll. Right now most of the songs are classic blues and sung by women, such Bessie Smith who recorded a hit blues song in the early 20's.
