Well maybe there is some psycho and he likes kicking babies in heads, and leaving old men in the street to be run over. :D So for him those things would not be true. Or perhaps it depends more on what has to gain by kicking/not kicking the baby in the head... And anyway, we do not share the same truths about what is good or not, because 'good' is of course up for interpretation, as is anything else. And besides, you're still assuming there actually is a truth at all. Though even if there does happen to be such, why cannot one understand it? You know, be as god and all... ;)
Oh wait, even according to your stories we've already done just that! How marvelous!
Which brings me upon some other loosely related points..
So who is the 'us' that teh godness is refering to here? I'm assuming he does not merely mean the various heavenly people like angels and what not as before he had said specifically the would be 'as gods', so then your own god admits himself there is more than one god.... Hahaha what fun. :D

Please...you can't be serious. Good is not "up for interpretation".Most half-baked stoners know right from wrong. Don't you realize that little voice in your head is your conscience telling you what is right. Not the evil little demon that tells you to do it, but the gut wrenching pain you have afterwards.

And why shouldn't it be up for interpretation? What's good for you is not necessarily good for me. There is no ultimate good, only what is generally agreed upon as good..

but those who are NOT psycho know that it's true that we should not do that. It's not right. It's not truth.

we ARE like GOd, knowing Good and Evil, just like the verse you quoted says. We are also made in His image, which goes beyond physicality.

God was talking to Jesus and the HOly Spirit when he said "us". The trinity consists of 3 parts. They have always been together, even before creation.

I'm sorry to burst your little bubble my friend, but their is "ultimate good". One of these days you'll come face to face with it, and it will humble you to no end.

i wasnt crazy about it either. Even though it may be true, it's non effective for a believer to say that to an unbeliever. Makes them sound holier than thou.

So why would he want to keep us from the tree of life? Because we would then be his complete equal and he would have no power over us? :D
Heh whatever, the new testament would not be written for quite a while at this point. What is it with you people and this trinity crap? Is there not only one god? If they are all the same then why does he talk to himself?

If so why has he killed so many? And if he is so compassionate, then why does he require people to believe in him, or send them to hell? That's a bit arrogant and presumptuous don't you think?

Sure there are. Open your eyes and you will see many ultimates. Parenthood is one that comes to mind. Having a child is a life-changing experience. Truley the ultimate form of love.

we werent ever His equals. He made us, therefore he is over us. But even when Adam and eve were still sinless, God didnt have an ego trip going on, He is a GOd of love and resonates it with every breath.

relax hunny bun. We didnt make the "TRINITY CRAP" up. God talks about it Himself. Ask Him. There IS only one GOd, made of 3 parts... like the egg is made of 3 parts, but is still ONE egg.

God has never killed anyone. Man takes care of that. He does not require you to believe. You have free will.

Well if that is so, why then guard the tree of life from us? Or is it true god can make a rock that even can't lift? Some almighty god eh?
Okay, so you didn't make it up, but nonetheless was the bible not written by humans? I would ask him, but what's the point? The only answer I would ever receive is that from some piece of my own mind detached from itself by my request for the sole purpose of acting as an independent being, giving in to the wish to not be ultimately responsible for oneself. Same as any of those new age fellows likely achieve the conversation of their own gods. It is really no different.

I don't think so, yes many bad things have been done in his name, but man's twisted logic is responsible in the end. God cannot be hld responsible for mans indescretion.
