I'm new at this and with prices the way they are I figure I can just grow my own. Is it that hard to get a good plant to grow? I mean can you just throw some seeds in a pot and water it and give it sunlight like your everyday plant or is there more to it? I've read various websites that tell you 342523432 different ways to grow and it all looks complicated. So can anyone tell me the fastest and easiest way to grow? Thanks in advance.
Well, it all depends, there's ways to grow analy and then there's ways to just grow. Most people have really complicated systems, but just try trial and error I guess...try a few of the methods and see what works for you. Indoors will cost you a bit of money, but all you need is a ltitle patience and to take care of them, and you'll be good.
It's possible to grow pot haphazardly, but the results are so much greater if you invest some time and effort. For example Let's say you threw some seeds in your backyard and ignored them. They might get spotted, and/or they'd grow poorly without soil prep/nutrients/hit n miss waterting. Let's say instead you spent 30 minutes and 5 bux to plant them in a carefully chosen spot with good watering and care and end up with a pound of buds instead of maybe a few scraggly ounces if at all. Worth it? You tell me.
well, here is a simple method. It hasnt worked for me but i did it in a small pot so... (I diddnt use fertiliser but i sugest you use top quality organic fertiliser) Okay, get some Fertil;iser, if it doesnt have peat init, ditch it and get a peat bag. dig a pit in you garden that gets the most light. pref morning and put in the fertiliser (it should say something like:ready to plant unless your an experienced gardner then use ur judgement your) dampen it (not soaked) and put in your seed(s) (bigger seeds the better i hear) space them about 2 meters apart just to be safe then them germinate. After they are about 10cm tall start treating em. Get kombu. Its a seaweed that the japenese use in cooking to boost their minirel intake. anyway, get good quality kombu, not great though, and put a few pieces (4 in this case) as long as a desk pen in a jug of warm water water (about 1 litre), the purer the beter. let it sit for about an hour or two and pour about one shot glass of this super miniralized water for every 10cm in growth up to about 5 shots. When it starts stinkin your [place out, sont worry, get the kombu and put it at the base of your plants. When your plants are starting to show evidence of a future, put some slow releas chemicle fertiliser in there, use as instructed. Water so the earth is soaked morning and night, this encourages root growth (doing it in a ring and not directly on the plant COULD further encourage) males have little strings growing out of the stems femails have teenie buds. I hear you should just kill of the males. Get a grower friend to come over when you want to cut them and ask him for instructions.

the most inportant thing you want to do first is security. make sure no one can get a hold of those plants. Research that along with growing. Personally i would recommend you learn alot about the laws in your area and then about growing. Hydroponic is great and produces big yields. But apparently dirt grow is good too specially if you use organics. Don't grow in a greenhouse or in your garage. if anywhere perferably a basement room that is air tight to the oustside. Closets are possible to but just make sure you have high security with closet grows. This means air ventalation, cooling systems etc.
ROFL Lab Rat. It's pretty obvious "younghunk" has never grown an mj plant, ehh? nor read a grow book..
The biggest secret is obtaining top seeds. Once you have found that, you then clone the females. Growing pot can be a totally pointless exercise, time and waste of money if you havn't got it right in the first place.
