These are about two months old. They're getting nappier by the day. Can't wait till they get tight, but they're definitly tighter than they were a month ago. Forming naturally just by no brushing and washing with sandlewood bar soap and no conditioner. The pics look kind of blurry to me, hope you can see the details.
i think that they look good...i kinda wanna try formin some dreads this way...can i use a reg. bar of soap tho?
daaang those seem to be coming along quite quickly for natural dreads. awesomeness for the bar of soap thing..i know some people use bars of soap, but i dont think you'd want to get just any..something w/o residue, yknow? so most likely some natural soap..someone here'll probly be able to recommend a place that sells em..
I have natural dreadies (just over a year old now!) and I've found the best soap/shampoo to use is Dr. Bronner's with Tea Tree oil. Makes my hair feel all fresh and clean, plus it leaves very little residue!
I use the Bee Flower Sandlewood bar soap cause it smells good and bar soap is great for drying it out and splitting the ends. I think that's what's making them grow so quickly, plus, my hair is really naturally wavy, frizzy, and thick, so I think that might help too. I think you can use any kind of bar soap as long as it's not conditioning or moisturizing. I use Bee Flower because it's all natural, smells good, and I have to use natural soaps because my grey water just goes out into the earth. We don't have a septic tank or holding tank of any kind (using outhouses, and well water brought in).
O!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dr. Bonners and Sundog lotion, in patchouli and lime....oh baby, that's some heaven scents!!!!!!!
