im supposed to go to this park with a lake to see a band (never even heard of them) and fireworks....

but, i had to take a certain medication today that is making me feel sick AND im tired and i dont even like fireworks. yeah, when i was 7- they were great. it would take some mushrooms to make them nice for me now.

anyways, i wanna stay home and fucking drink beer and watch a movie. relax. sit around. i dont wanna goooo..... damn.

I'm actually pumped for fireworks tonight, but that's because of the location. Siesta Key Beach is the finest beach in the country - the sand is literally like talcom powder - completely amazing.

I am hanging with my parents and Pepper.
Man, earlier when I got here I saw my dog and I yelled his name and ran through the house and out the back door and started chasing him around. Then my dad told me my neighbors friend was watching me. I know I looked like a retard and he was HOT! Oh well, at least I was having fun. And I am done jacking your thread haha.

Trish - I know you are a beach person. I myself am more of a mountain person growing up in vermont and all. What you HAVE to do in your life time though is go to Siesta Beach on Siesta Key in Sarasota, Florida - there is no better beach in the world - anyone who I've taken there over the years would agree. Shit, a guy just got in trouble down here for selling the sand on Ebay - its THAT good.

I alrready saw some fireworks because they shoot them in the second now and I must say that it was like the shakespeare play "much ado about nothing" because people stake out their ground 6 hours before the event( and the event lasted 20 unimpressive minutes and will be mentioned later), but not me, I wandered up, saw the 20minute thing that really as trish said is not the same without drugs or exceptional youth ie being 7 years old

but all in all it was a good forth because it is sunday with monday off and I like mojitos and you.

I am going to go watch fireworks tonight, but only because they shoot them off right behind my apartment, and there is this nice grassy hill to sit on. And so I am going just because I have nothing else to do and no one to do it with.

In my town they do fireworks at the lake reserve where the ducks live - which I think is completly retarded so i NEVER go.

I didn't see the fireworks this year. It was raining here besides. I don't see the big deal about fireworks anyway, I've seen them a million times and they always look the same.

Every local station on TV was airing some corny-ass, patriotic 4th of July special. Ugh.

Yeah, those corny tv specials are annoying me. Even PBS had one. Luckily the Bee Gees were playing on that one.

I just got back from watching mine. I'm pretty sure it was exactly the same thing as last year. But I have been seeing fireworks at the beach every summer of my life, it's kind of like a habit now.

Most people didn't appreciate my screaming after every one though, and my repeated yells of "Hot dog!" But I was bored, so that's that.

it was rather surreal driving through the city this evening...

a thick and gloomy layer of smoke had covered everything, and it sounded like a warzone... what with all the mortar shells and light arms fire. i swear some of these fireworks are ex-military artillery. but anyway,

the fireworks were actually quite nice to see. people around here went all-out this year... i wonder why??? i shot off a few modest little rockets and had a pleasant time walking around and digging the visuals.

we've come up with a new meaning for july 4th...
    independence from maya day!! ;)
