Does anyone in the Missouri area go to Schwagstocks? My husband and I are going to check it out on 16-17 this month; we were hoping it would be kewl, but haven't heard much around here about it to be sure.
More than a few folks on here go to Schwagstocks quite regularly. I've been to 5 of 'em so far and allways have a blast. Camp Zoe is an absolutely beautiful place. The bands and the folks that come there are wonderful. You'll enjoy it to the max. Word of caution. DO NOT take Hwy 19 South through Salem MO. To get to Schwagstock. The Salem Police have figured out what goes on there and will look for any excuse to pull you over and harass you and search your vehicle.:$ Consult your MO road Atlas or I can PM you directions so you can avoid going through Salem. Schwag attendee's have an unofficial boycott of the city of Salem. Check out the message boards on The Schwag website www.theschwag.com See ya there!

I am going to my first SS on the 16-17. I have heard nothing but great things about the festival. The pictures i saw of camp zoe. are amazing for a festival setting. Swimming holes, caves, and you can have open fires! I will be sure not the take Hwy 19 if that is really reliable info. But what is weird about that is on the schwag website for directions from all areas they have posted it says to take highway 19. So yeah if that is true. Send me an alternative route. Because i will have a couple things in the car that im not supposed to! Thanks a lot.
It all depends if you're going south on Hwy 19 through Salem or going north through Winona and Emminence. Avoid going through Salem if at all possible. Just take a close look at your trusty MO road Atlas and you can find alternative routes. btw: Where are you coming from? There is a Schwagboards/Hipforums meet up scheduled for 3 pm Sat afternoon at Camp 420 on Shakedown Street. For first time Schwag attendees Shakedown in the main vending area and Camp 420 is on of the vendors and is usually on the left side as you are going towards the main stage. Just look for the sign and as for OklahomaChris from the Schwagboards. see ya'll there!!!!
Go make a post on The Schwag message Board listing your location contact info etc. A lot of Schwag heads live in KC so someone may be able to pick you up along their way from KC to Camp Zoe. Camp Zoe is a wonderful beautiful place as are the folks that come there. You'll enjoy your time there!!!!
Schwagstock is a great experience. ITs so easy to get lost and just roam 330 acres of wilderness! I love it, most of the people are so nice nut on occasion you get the ones that just dont mesh with the scene. I am talking about the ones that are there for other things than the music, these are the ones that blair hard rap music in the morning after a long bonfire session they obviously didnt attend. Out of all the festivals i have been to i would say schwagstock is the least family oriented. But it your going to have a good time then this is the place for you!
I am going to Schwagstock--It's a absolutely wonderful time. I have been going to them for 4 years now. . .this will be my 13th or 14th stock. It's a beautiful campground, lots of nice people. I'll be at the meet up (haha-if I remember).
Hey Personface, I was looking through your pics of Schwagstock - it looks really fun, I can't wait to check it out this weekend. Weirdest thing when I was looking through your pics, I saw a kid I graduated with from high school Jason C-----. We hung out a lot Senior year, he is really nice! Well, hope to see you there, just thought I would let you know that I knew him, thought of what a small world it really is!!

yeah, schwagstock is such a good time, i went to all the stocks last summer, but this summer, due to no car and not much funds, i wasnt able to make it to one!! super sadface.... but its okay, i may be able to go to spookstock, we'll see.... i hope everyone had an awesome time! *oh yeah i just remembered... DEFINATELY DO NOT go through SALEM!! the cops there are fucking pigs, and they WILL search your car for NO REASON. dont go through salem, go though eminence, i think it may be a bit longer, but not by much, and you wont have to deal with lame cops...* happy day guys!

Hey fellow Schwaggers! Angela and Carl! Havent been on here for a while cuz my puter crashed. Spirit seeker, I know Hadatoe! Clint is an awesome guy. He used to vend on Shakedown called it, "Grilled Cheese and Hugs". Don't know if he still does that but I have a few pix from last SS with Hadatoe and Booboo!!! So Booboo, You have met Hadatoe. It was right after the meet-up and we were all standing around 420camp on shakedown.
I'm looking forward to Spookstock!!! I can't think of a better place to celebrate my 30th b-day!!!! How nice of The Schwag to have a Stock in honor of my b-day (10/31/75) ! Too bad the Springfield show was canceled but I may bre hittin some Schwag shows in Fayetteville or KC/Lawrence.

My crew was camped at Timbuktu. I was really busy running around with all my other friends and having a grand time celebrating the big 3-0. I did keep and eye out for both you and Angela. I didn't see either of you at The Schwagboard Metting either. See ya Evestock!
