how many plants?

ik am growing in a 9x7x8 room and want to put as many plants as possible. how does the sea of green work? is there any better method?

 

First off, do you realize that to adequately light up a room that size you will need a min. of 3,000 watts HPS?
A 3Kw jump in elect use will red flag the utilities computer, and they'll want to give you an "energy audit".

Sea of green is good, but you're looking at it the wrong way.
You don't want the most plants possible, you want the most yield possible I'll bet. More plants does not mean more yield.

 

the energy usage is not an issue, but thanx for the tip. I am looking for max yield. how would you suggest growing in a room this size? watts,number of plants

 

Is the room 9' x 7' x 8' tall?

About 2 months after I bumped up my indoor grow from 400-watts to 3,200 watts, I got a phone call from SoCalEdison.

The lady said their computers picked up a large increase in my elect usage. She said they would send someone out to look all over my house to see if there was something wrong, like a short. A free energy audit.
You know how there's somethings you don't want, even if it's free?
Thinking quickly, I said "My sister her husband and their 3 kids just moved in and the damn kids leave everything on all the time damn kids."
She said "I know what you mean, My kids are like that."

I got away with it because at the time there were 4 of us living in a 5-bedroom house with an apt. in the back above the garage (where my grow was).
However, if you live in an apt. or small house, they may not buy that.
They keep records of what the usually power draw for where you live is, and if it's way over that, expect a call.
I've heard that sometimes they will show up at your door, 2 guys from the utility company, clipboard in hand, and ask to come in.
If you say "fuck you beat it" thay can come back with the cops and they can go in whether or not you want them to, because it's a safety issue--a short could cause a fire that could endanger lives.

A lot of people get busted because the utilities notify the cops and the cops keep an eye on your place.
And keep this is mind too--if the cops want to come in, they will, even if it's illegal for thm to do so. They can say they had a report of gunfire, knocked on your door and when you answered they smelled pot smoke, or heard a scream or something, and entered.

For someone in a small house, I wouldn't recommend any more than two 600-watt lights. That will light an area 24 sq/ft., like for instance 4' x 6'. You can fit 24 plants in there, do a sog grow and end up with 2 pounds of ganja (24 x 1.5 oz. per plant.
And if you have a friend that sets up a donor/clone & veg room at his place, you can harvest 2 pounds every 2 months.
