I wanted to post a story(from a narration dating back to Muhammed-peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) about Christ that moved my heart. According to this hadith/narration, Jesus(peace be upon him) was traveling together with some of his students when he asked one of his companions to buy some food for them. As the man was one his way back (after having purchased 3 loaves of bread) he ate one thinking that no one will notice anyway. Later on(after the man had returned), Christ asked the question: "Who ate the third load of bread?" and the man who did it denied saying that there were only two loaves to start with. Christ didnt say anything more but continued on his journey. Later on, they stumbled upon a deer, so they hunted it down and cooked it. As they were eating Christ started praying to God to make it living again, and it suddently jumped up and ran away and the people were suprised. He once again asked the question; By the one who made it living, who ate the third loaf of bread!! The man once again denied knowing of a third loaf. They continued on their journey until they reached a flooded river wherupon they held each other on Christ and together walked on the water until they reached the other side -once again to the suprise of people-. He then asked the man once again about the loaf but received the same answer so he sat down and formed 3 balls of sand and they suddently turned to gold and he said to the man: This one is for me, this one is for you and this one(meaning the third) is for the man who ate the third loaf of bread. The man immediatly confessed and Christ let him have the gold on the condition that he wont follow him anymore. The man didnt care all to much as we was imagining what he would do with all this money, while he was day dreaming, 3 theieves came behind him and killed him. The theives sent one of them to buy some food, while the other guy was away they plotted to kill him when he returned and share it by themselves while the other thief was planning to put poison inside the food so he could take it all. When he returned they killed him and ate the poisoned food, contributing to their death. Finally Christ and his students pass by the scene; alot of gold, 4 dead bodies are laying there and he says something like : "This is the example of The life of this world"
Wow, good point. Nice story. The thing with the deer confused me though..^^; They cooked the deer...and then it jumped up and ran? Was it still whole?? Well, I liked that anyways, thanks for sharing.
