Hookah Bars?

So, I know a lot of people who are really into hookah bars. I don't know much about it. Is there anyone out there who could fill me in on more information about hookah? what is it exactly? what will it do for me?

 

it a big waterpipe with charcoal. you smoke shisha tobacco. its pretty relaxing, a headrush and tastes really good.

 

mmm hookahs..der fun..i dont OWN one, but ive smoked outta em b4, usualy with weed. quite classy and exotic, ay? but anyways, i heard bout them hookah bars..i never been 2 one but my friend did and she said its fun...i gues u pay like 10-15 bucks for a flavored tobaccy and u shmooke it outta dem hookahs with people..and dey play like trippy music and have fancy curtians everywhere and bongo drums! ill prolly go next week...get stoned b4 tho, since i gues u can only smoke tobaccy in there. i heard bout this guy who brought weed 2 smoke it out of the hookahs in there, and i guess the people who worked there smelled it and he got kicked out or something like that. haha. whatever man, u can just smoke before. or just buy yer own damn hookah. kinda expesnive tho.

 

i'm sure you could get away with smoking bud in their if you mixed it with enough shisha to hide the smell.

 

i'm definately hitting a hookah bar up on my 18th...flavor...yummy.

 

have been to one in Portland (Belmont area) where u can smoke outside so it's easy to toss in some bud if you like. Also been to one in Vancouver, BC which wasn't as nice but they had great flavours which didn't taste so quite as sweet... the jasmine is really tasty. The tobacco quality varies but you shouldn't be getting a huge head buzz off it. Have been looking around for an authentic hookah for a couple years but i'm very picky and there doesn't seem to be many dealers out there.

 

we've got a couple shisha bars where i live...its a good atmosphere, but i just dont care much for tobacco

 

Well, the thing is. I know someone who went to a hookah bar who isn't 18..how does this work?

 

Maybe it was run by foreigners who dont card or anything.

 

it depends on the state and the nature of the establishment.

 

its fun, relaxing, tastes good, get a buz, blow O's (though i cant )
At a tobacco shop near my house, they sell small hookahs, about 20 inches, for only like 20-30 bucks.

 

yeah, have seen quite a few of the smaller sized ones... have also seen a lot that don't look 'traditional'...ones with faces on them, multi-hoses, all sorts of crazy designs.
Anyone know of a web supplier or a store on the west coast that has the traditional 'india' hookahs please let me know.

Ive gottin into a hookah bar before, and we've slipped bud in them since it was outside. Its a really cool atmosphere and hookahs are the shit, its really a social thing

 

Yah theres a really cool Hookah bar in MN that doesnt card or anything. They also dont ive a damn if you stick bud in there hookahs, we smoked up the owner!

I went to a Turkish hookah bar when I was in Lincoln, Nebraska. It was really cool. We definitely didnt pay 15 for the tobacco though. more like 5, i think. also I got some chamomile tea. I'd go there to study after school all the time if I was still around there. Sadly, now I live in Dayton, Ohio, and I have no idea where to find one.
