I heard alot of storys about vietnam veterens being really spacy and fucked up from smoking Nam grass, and I hear that the veterns sometimes say "that nam grass will do that to ya" even chong said that on Up in smoke lol. Anybody think the weed is really THAT strong there?
No haha. They had some pure sativas over there that were damn strong for what the Americans were used to (Mexican shwag), but it's still Cannabis man. It doesn't make any permanent changes in your brain. If anything they are spacey because of the post traumatic stress from war, or the multitude of hard drugs that were consumed there.
....i also heard somewhere that the Nam veterans'll eat your eyes and then use your eye sockets for a place to put their guns...
It was good strong weed - much stronger that you could get back in the world at that time but it was still just weed. I also do not recall eating anyone’s eyes but maybe I was stoned that day. I did not have to tote a weapon as a medic but I do not think that an M-16 would fit in an eye socket and I have seen a number of empty eye sockets
^yikes, the thought of an empty eye socket freaks me out man. anyways, like what's been said, it was probably just better than the American and Mexican schwag back home. Also, yeah, I'm told that lots and lots of heroin was done over there, which could account for the spaciness.
The Thai stick we used to get in the states back in the 70's was opiated. So when you smoked it, you were high on 2 drugs. The combo was quite potent. As it wasn't just cause I wasn't used to good smoke either--I used to get Acapulco Gold and that was GOOD weed.
I've smoked weed that was so good that I literally had a seizure after smoking two blunts with three heads. But it might've had something to do with the fact that one of the blunts was laced with close to a gram of cocaine.
