Thanks to fucking John Roberts AND Bush AND the politicans who are going to vote for him (including democrates) It's almost certain that he is going to be confirmed Well us women won't have the right to choose anymore, hell he'll make birth control ( already threatened ) illegal too. The women's movement of any kind will be no more. I wonder what his daughters think of this. Jenna is a partier, I don't imagine her being against women's rights.

"Almost" but still hope. Keep on hoping! And yeah, I can't imagine Jenna being against women's right either but Bush doesn't exactly listen 2 others.

But maybe I'm 2 much of an optimist…no no no good thoughts!

if a women wants to take birth control let her. Its her body, let her do what she wants with it. Would u rather have her get pregnant and then give up the child or have an abortion, or like some crazy people just abandon the baby in the streets? NO, so let her take the pill to protect herself. thats pure bullshit and if he takes that away and makes it illegal hes an asshole that doesnt know anything just because he started going to church and thinks its a christian thing to do. whatever haha this is complete bullshit

Do you honestly think Jenna Bush gives a flying fuck about your rights? Bitch can hop on a plane and be back in 24, can line up a staff in half the time, and use the white-out in one quarter. What makes you think Jenna Bush gives a damn?

This is the kind of shit that happens when you got Bush up there. Theyre simply trying to remove as many rights as possible so they have more control over us. Only thing we can easily look foward to is he won't be in the white house for forever

Actually the conservatives on the court right now believe that the issue is settled.
These guys put a good deal of importance on precendent, so even if bush nominates Bomby McCoathanger to the court there is really little chance that Roe V Wade will be overturned.

Trust me, woman do not worry about bush or John roberts taking away abortion from you and your right to choose, this whole abortion debate is just something the right uses to get votes from the moral crowd, they could care less about abortion, they have wars to start and civil liberties to take away

What does it matter who gets appointed? Personal opinions don't count when one is obligated to that annoying little piece of paper called the Constitution that so many on the left and the right seem to have forgotten exists.

It's not the leaders we have to worry about, it's the emergance of a new generation of woman that shake their goodies for bling and attention. A couple of weeks ago I was shopping at a rather skanky store, nothing in the store could make it in daytime world, and I saw a girl trying on an outfit I'd blush to wear, and she was eight years old. Already dressing like the whores in the media everyday. This is what will errode women's rights. Young woman are prostituting themselves instead of building their own success, and ensuring their rights. They have given up to the male ideal by conforming to Britney's ideal. I'm 23, and I find even in my generation woman that don't know what roe vs. wade is, they don't know what sufferage was. The media, and advertising have finally convinced us, that "we are worth it." Worth what? 28 dollars for wrinkle cream? Our degrees will make great coasters for our husbands coffee.

    Exactly.

John Roberts is staunch in his belief of only interpreting the law as a judge, but not changing it. He abides by precedents and leaves personal politics aside. He may be conservative, but he will not overturn Roe V. Wade. Put your fears at ease.

These Fascistic NeoCons and their Big Brotherism can only be done away with by social upheaval. No electing Democrats (who are mostly Centrists now) will help at all. There isn't more than a dime's worth of difference between the two "parental parties" now.

Only a cultural revolution, the people banded together, the ACLU and other Constitutional organizations behind us can fight this thing without violence.

So he'd make safe sex illegal? Wow, maybe he's just trying to kill off all the sex-before-marriage types with AIDS....Sounds like he's put a lot of thought into this...
