mine are in no particular order:

    Changes
    Oh! You Pretty Things
    Quicksand
    Life On Mars
    Space Oddity
    Ziggy Stardust
    Starman
    Soul Love
    All The Young Dudes
    Young Americans

(basically I like his early 70's period the most)

Those two albums along with Space Oddity were probably the best 3 albums Bowie released.

The Space Oddity (1969) album has some of Bowie's most meloncholie sounding songs. It is a very beautiful album, probably his sweetest album.

    Space Oddity
    Golden Years
    Ashes to Ashes
    Under Pressure

And my favorite is Heroes, although it's the version that seems to be less popular:

I, I wish you could swim
Like the dolphins, like dolphins can swim
Though nothing, nothing will keep us together
We can beat them, for ever and ever
Oh we can be Heroes, just for one day

    I, I will be king
And you, you will be queen
Though nothing will drive them away
We can be Heroes, just for one day
We can be us, just for one day

    I, I can remember (I remember)
Standing, by the wall (by the wall)
And the guards shot above our heads (over our heads)
And we kissed, as though nothing could fall (nothing could fall)
And the shame, was on the other side
Oh we can beat them, for ever and ever
Then we could be Heroes, just for one day

    We can be Heroes
    We can be Heroes
    We can be Heroes
    Just for one day
    We can be Heroes

the entire "Low" and "Heroes" albums. They are 10x better than anything else Bowie did.

    3 It Ain't Easy

Allright, I have been waiting for a David Bowie thread for a long time, anyway Bowie at the Beep is a great collection of the songs he did for BBC sessions. It has all types of bowie-folk rock, ziggy stardust, all the early hits, a fantastic cd.
