Okay, I know dreads have bad days and that it's best to wear a hat when they look bad, right? However, my imperialistic school won't allow hats. Is there away to keep the dreads in check without a hat? Or should I just deal with it? Peace, Love, Nappiness Joe
i put my hair up in a ponytail, or just like back someway. Or i wear a headband. I dont think ive ever worn my hair without nething on my head. Im very selfconscience so i always wear somethin cuz i think they will look bad i guess. But ur a guy so idk, i mean u can still put them back and stuff but it would look funny if you wore a headband haha. i hate how we cant wear hats in school. Its rediculous. we used to wear them when it was like homecoming week or somehtin but they took that away. I hate it. Hope you find somethin. Peace and much love, Caitlin
well, when my dreadies are lookin like shit, i put them up in pigtails, but ur a guy so,lol, um i also put them up in like a half ponytail, or a full, or wear a hat, my tam is coming in the mail, so ill wea it when my head looks like shit
just tie em up..mine always look the same really, so i dont really care much how they look, but with how long & thick & heavy mine are when its hot i just gotta tie em yup or overheat.. or just let em be..or another thing i do sometimes is hack the sleeves off my shirt & use the sleaves like a headband to just pull my dreads back
i've seen a few guys who were able to pull off well one of those all-the-way-around-the-head stretchy headband thingies..dunno how to describe 'em..but yeah..hey, at least your school allows headbands, though. this year mine wont allow anything, headbands, ribbons, whatever..some gang thing x.x
oh yea my school is so stirct about bandanas this year, even when they are rolled up like a headband ya know. BUt i still wear mine cuz the deans love me haha its great
Our school doesn't allow hats or bandanas, either. If you rolled a bandana up and tied 'em back, it should work. Or just use your dreads to tie 'em back. Safety pin them if they're not long enough to tie by themselves. And you can't go wrong with just a plain old ponytail at the nape of your neck.
hats are strictly forbidden at my school but theres a senior there who wears on of those dreadhead hats, i am a new niner to the school or freshman if you prefer and i wanna ask him about his dreads but im kinda worried about it.....yeah but anyways go talk to administration and tell them or even show them how bad your dreads can get and explain that it would prolly be easier for you and your classmates (i'd consider dreads flyin out all over a distraction) if they could be managed with a hat, show them the hat and see what they say.... just hope they dont ban dreads instead!
nevermind....the guy at my school is an actual rasta and i suppose his hat is for religious reasons or somethin
