if there was a god we would all believe in him if there was a god people wouldnt believe in a bunch of different gods if there was a god we would all be rich and happy if there was a god there would be no such thing as drugs (basing it on the saying that god dont like drugs) if there was a god things like september 11th wouldnt happen if there was a god i wouldnt be writing this if there was a god the world would be totally different and 1 god cannot appear from nowhere.
Riches, happiness, complete peace and contentment.... Sounds like the gifts of an -ideal- God. But what you want to be, what you think should be isn't necessarily what actually is. Perhaps if you looked at things in a different light, you'd see that, yes, perhaps there is no Judeo-Christian God, but maybe God is something different than that. Is God within the very fabric of creation? Like the dreamer and the dream as one, are we one with God? And, we, each a single consciousness weighing, judging, labeling the existence in which we are a part of, have the ability to say what the ultimate 'should be' or 'shouldn't be'. If we had the God of the Bible, maybe things would be different... But take a look at the Universe, magnificent, cyclic, forever unveiling truths, forever teaching lessons if we allow ourselves to see them.... Perhaps God does not lie in some void, being an all judging, all powerful consciousness. Perhaps God is within and without you, perhaps you are a part of God. This existence is.
i'm agnostic, but not even i am this naive. if there was a god, she/he/it would want you to utilize nature, and she/he/it gave you free will for the purpose of not wanting to prevent 9/11. however, in the theory of christians, if there was a god, she/he/it would not want you to waste your day of rest on getting up at the crack of dawn to bore yourself to death at church. so maybe there is a god, maybe there isn't, but if there is, don't assume you can understand her/him/it.... which i'll admit, we all do.
