I know corsets generally run at extremely high prices, I want to get one for halloween, so it doesn't half to be fancy, and i'm really not willing to spend a lot on it because it'll basically be a one time thing, ya know? Anyone know where to get cheap corsets? No leather or anything, just something foxy that'll make my tits look big and my waist look small lol....

If you are up for making one you can get a kit for about $50 USD from Farthingales http://www.farthingales.on.ca/9769_kit.php ... It comes with everything you need to make the corset from Simplicity's #9769 civil war corset pattern. They do not include the pattern, but you can get that at any fabric store that carries Simplicity's patterns.

This is the pattern that I and my partner use when we make the corsets, and while we do not use the kits we do buy all of our supplies from Farthingales.

The pattern is pretty easy to follow as long as you follow the directions. If you choose to go this rout you can always contact me with questions at redfraggle42@yahoo.com. :)

If you want to see what a finished one looks like you can go to our website at http://www.curiouscatclothing.com and click the brocade corsets link. I promise you that they are not difficult to make. :)
