It was a good post till you got to the 'you're the laughing stock of the world' bit.... i don't see anyone laughing at a Nation confronted with such an horrendous natural disaster... however mis-managed the US is... and if you can find anything amusing in it.. please share... we could all do with cheering up...

 

The amusing part is that Americans are ignorant enough to reelect a moron..it's not like nobody knew Bush was a train wreck looking for a place to happen. It's so stupid, it's almost funny

 

well firstly not All Americans voted for Bush.... and i'll agree with the ignorance bit only if that is intended to mean that hindsight is a not something we are all blessed with..

I don't think it takes much "hindsight" to know that Bush was and is a moron. The Americans almost begged for the mess they're in, I don't see how it could've turned out any different

 

i think i know how to resolve the orleans crisis

it is a little known fact that al quiada has in fact been infiltrating this city for many years. right now there are thousands of islamic jihad fighters leopard crawling through the suburbs with teeth clamped round knives, leaping, jumping, shooting and exploding (kind of like firework night). anyway, their central base of operation is now new orleans. a power vacuum had been created since american troops left the city, now filled by you guessed it AQ. these jihadists are recognised by the fact that they are black, poor and looting - the army can be given carte blanche - shoot to kill. if any looters are caught alive they can be shipped off to the cuba outpost or perhaps overseas to be submitted for some more persuasive interrogation.what we need is an operation freedom in downtown new orleans. of course the initial bombing barrage and condemnation by the UN will do some damage but look on the bright side at least some aid will get there now.

 

Actually the crisis in New Orleans proves there is no terrorist threat. If there where sleeper cells in America they surely would've capatalized on this disaster. Looks like we can disband homeland security and bring the troops home from Iraq..the war is over (actually there never was a war)...it was just Bush trying to steal some oil and get some revenge

I didn't "choose" to live under the Bush Adminstration. This is my HOME. I don't run away just because of some horrible things happening. I CHOOSE to stay and fight, and hopefully get this asshole, Bush, impeached.

It amazes me that when the Subway Bombings occured in England, the American Public (and the Americans on this site) had only the attitude of caring and compassion. American gets hurt and people laugh and are Gleeful. What a bunch of cowards.

YES, FEMA fucked up. Yes, The poor and those without means SHOULD have been evaced LONG before the storm hit. But it isn't a reason to LEAVE THE COUNTRY. I'm braver than that.

I choose to stay and fight for my freedoms. I shouldn't be dissed for it. Impeach Bush, fight the Patriot Act, work for people in Goverment who are doing the right thing, use my money to help those less fortunate. What are YOU doing? Well lets see, last night i spent about an hour chatting with a good friend who has lost everything in the flood, but all i had to help was sympathy and support of a friend.......popped £20 in a street collection to help people in New Orleans rebuild.....so i would guess i've done as much as anyone.
