Who else wants to see this movie besides me? It looks pretty damn creepy. It's based on an actual exorcism in Germany. They play actual recordings from her "exorcism". Anyway the last few "Excorcist" movies sucked so I've got my hopes set on this.:)

    2cool,

Sorry but Linda Blair cornered the market on exorcism's back in the 1970's and no one has gotten close since.

When another horror movie is released which causes women to faint in the movie theatre then I think I'll go -- But I'll make certain my girlfriend stays at home.

I wonder how close the movie is to the actual story of the girl's exorcism

yeah cause sometimes they are way off on some stuff like that... They will only use a theme at times and make up the rest...

Well in real life the girl died and the father went on trial for her death. They used an audio recording of her actual exorcism in their defense. You get 2 hear it in the movie. Comes out about a week from now. It's gonna kick ass.

i have the feeling the same sort of thing is going to happen with this that happened with the village...lots of people are going to see it, and lots are going to hate it cause the previews "didnt show what the movie really was"

Yeah,I heard that the actual audio recordings were used in the movie..that's creepy.
If it's anything like The Exorcist, then it will terrify me....I saw that movie for the first time a few years ago(I was like 21 yrs. old) and I wept like a baby lol...it scared me so bad. I loved it though, that's the weird thing about horror movies..love to be terrified.

I think you are right to an extent because I believe the movie is more based on the trial of the priest rather then the exorcism. And I dislike the fact that is PG-13, too many horror movies today limit themselves to PG-13 just to get a wider audience and make more money. It is like making money is more important then making a good horror flick. It looks good but I am not getting my hopes up too much so this way I won't be dissapointed but also I can be surprised.

It was a weird story and I believe that possession is possible, that made it even more scary.
You didn't think any of the movie was scary? What about when Ragan came crawling down the stairs, like upside down...that part was so freaky, well I thought it was atleast :)

the original Exorcist was genius... it was the sequels that sucked.... just like every sequel to every movie.... I haven't seen Emily Rose yet... I'm too chicken to see it in theatres so i'll wait for the video.

The previews for the movie try to pass it off a a horror flick, but don't be fooled. The movie is mostly about the priest and the trial following the death of the girl. The scenes shown in the previews are more than likely flashbacks as the priest tells of the events. Once again a movie is not advertised as what it really is.
