Yeah, mang. I know what you mean. Go stay with a friend for a few days. Tell your parents you're taking a vacation.
I am sorry to hear things are getting that dire. I wish you the best of luck and hope you'll be able to stay in touch and keep us updated. Man, wish I/we could help more. If it were me, this is what I would do. Move out without saying anything to anyone or at the very least, not tell them where you are going, just go. Then after I'm settled and really on my own, I "might" contact them and say hi.
heero, I know it might not seem like you owe anything to anyone, and can just move away. But it does sound like you have some family who love you and would be concerned if you just disappeared without any information on your whereabouts. I would at least tell one person your plans (to move out at the least...you don't need to specify where you're going), and let them know that you are doing this to be away from the situation and that its time for you to have your own life as an adult. That way at least they might view your choice as a responsible way to take charge of your life, which is what this is all about. They need to see that you are responsible enough to take on this new challenge, and approaching even one person about it would go a long way to helping people cope with your decision, at least in my opinion. Best of luck to you, my friend!
Well the parent's have been trying to pressure me into joining the air force, and by bluntly saying "NO!" they would simply kick me out. But I've discussed with them and we have come to an agreement that I will try life on my own, and if it turns bad and sucks therribly, like they predict, then I will give the Air force a second thought. So it's basically the most emotionally painless way out.
Your parents want you to join the Air Force. If you say "No", they will kick you out. So instead, you are going to move out. If things don't work out, you will reconsider the Air Force. It sounds like your plan is very similar to your parents'. Good Luck. After you move out, you will be able to see that they aren't the monsters you currently think they are.
