I walked to my middle school track which is around 1/2 to 3/4 mile to get there the long way. I ran on the track 3 times= 3/4 of a mile and walked back home. When school starts ( sep 6th) I will be doing a ton of exercise
I have taken to swimming every day during my lunch break - unless I have a lunch meeting - on those days, I either run or ride my bike after work in the evening.
i didn't do much of anything, but every other day i have PE and walk/run about 2 miles, plus other exercises and stuff.
ooooohhhhhhh this is a great thread to keep accountability. I do this on the self.com forums but the women can be snotty so it would be awesome if I could do it here. Friday- 5/13- 10 minutes on the stairmill an hour on the treadmill (running for 7 minutes, walking for 3 repeated for 40 minutes and then walked the last 20 minutes)...5 miles total 10 more minutes on the stairmill 30 minutes of weights ...I was particularly anxious today and this is the only way I can sleep): but since I am a bit overweight it works out great!
I am just a poor boy Though my story's seldom told I have squandered my resistance For a pocketful of mumbles Such are promises All lies and jests Still a man hears what he wants to hear And disregards the rest When I left my home and my family I was no more than a boy In the company of strangers In the quiet of the railway station Running scared Laying low, seeking out the poorer quarters Where the ragged people go Looking for the places only they would know Lie la lie... Asking only workman's wages I come looking for a job But I get no offers Just a come-on from the whores on Seventh Avenue I do declare, there were times when I was so lonesome I took some comfort there Lie la lie... Then I'm laying out my winter clothes And wishing I was gone Going home Where the New York City winters aren't bleeding me, Leading me, going home. In the clearing stands a boxer And a fighter by his trade And he carries the reminders Of every glove that laid him down Or cut him till he cried out In his anger and his shame "I am leaving, I am leaving" But the fighter still remains Lie la lie...
What the hell u talking about, this is not meditation, yoga does involve physical activity, but I guess that depends on what's being done by the individual. BTW ashtanga is more rigorous and the pace of it demands more cardio than hatha. I don't set out to do exercise on any day. I'll do the disciplinary stuff, that is a combo of physio therapy (which is prescribed), yoga, pilates, I have to do this just to feel normal so that I can get to do the real fun stuff. Then comes the fun exercises and these are dancing and rollerblading to trance or other exciting music, I'm not the gym type girl. This summer I'll be rollerblading 10-15 km to an Olympic size pool, work on my dives from a 2 story tower and then rollerblade back home and cool down with some yoga. I'll actually have to increase my caloric intake to be able to do this , but I exercise for fun, not for health.
I am so proud of myself I went to an hour of power yoga and then ran 1.5 miles now I'm going to go get dinner and drinks and ruin all of that effort ): but eh? that's not bad right? I mean I haven't drank in a long time but I know it turns straight to fat ):
alright I guess it is back to the self.com forums): since no one here want to help keep each other on track ):
I walked around the neighborhood quite a bit, until I got sick of being chewed up by mosquitoes and I had to come inside. The mosquitoes down here are terrible right now.
