This army recruiter calls me up like a week ago. He was giving me this whole nice guy buddy buddy bull crap. He starts asking me all these questions, where I plan to go to college, what I'm gonna do for a living, what I do for fun, all that cal. It's bullshit too! How the hell did they get my phone number? Shit, between all the soldiers at school, all the cops, and all the recruitment guys, I have them calling me now? So anyways, nothing happened the next day, but each day since he's called, and today he called twice. Have any other seniors gotten calls? I only know one other senior, and she said she did'nt get one. Are they even allowed to do this?
Tell them to stick their fruity little drill sargeant state-trooperesque hats up their ass. The army can go to hell. Yes, I do believe there are good people out there who don't really want to be out there...... but what business do we have being there to begin with (although it's not their fault).. but through all of the assault charges and such and killing people listening to that "burn motherfucker" song... we shouldn't be there. And there are innocent people dying for a greedy bastard back in the states who couldn't care less. newsflash everyone... you might as well bend over. ugh. come on septemberrrrr... cast your votes... get him out. REGISTER NOW!!!
the army recruiter hounded the hell out of me, when i was a senior. i finally just told him that there was no way in hell i was going to enlist, and he eventually left me alone.
the day after I graduated the army recruiter called me up, and I told him there was no way in hell I would join the army, gave him a nice little list of reasons, and he never bugged me again. He's been calling my little brother now though, who's about to be a senior next year, I can't wait till I answer when he calls just tell him there's no way you'd join and all that stuff and he'll leave you alone. oh, and yes, it is legal, public schools give your info to army recruiters
Honestly: here's what you do. Next time he calls, say in a very friendly polite way "Oh,no I will never join or support the army. I have this thing, where I like to not kill or hurt innocent humans. Thanks though! But i gotta go, have a great day! *click*" Seriously. I do that to ppl and it works like a charm
I had been getting calls a while ago, but I told him that I do not kill humans and I would never join or support an army, especially one that is ran by george bush. He never called again
i had one call me the other day. i was nice and just said i'm moving and going to college. they haven't called me yet, but i don't think that one knew what she was doing. there's military planes/copters all the time here now. i don't really get it cause there isn't much in boise. if they call again, tell them you don't want to be a murder. really give it to them, cause they're just trying to give it to you.
just to do somethign funny, go to the recruiters office and you will probably take a test to see if your mentally capable...fail the test miserably (that's what i did) and then tell them you won't join.
My boyfriend had them calling him and he was thinking about it so that maybe he could go to school again (cause he dropped out last yr and lost all of his scholarships and fin. aid) and they picked him up and took him somewhere but they couldn't tell him where until they were going. And they went to the army recruitment center somewhere and talked to him about it and promised him all of this stuff, like guarunteed job of choice, station of choice, guarunteed 1 month vacation in the month of choice. BUULLL if you were in iraq or wherever shooting people, wouldnt you ask for your vacation then?? but i HIGHLY doubt they would let you! Anyway, so they asked him about drugs... lol... and that was a bad question. hes a BIG stoner.. but do you know what they said?! "thats okay, we'll take care of it" they didnt ask him to quit or ANYTHING.. thats creepy. then they said that the next day they will pick him up and he will stay in a hotel that night (but he never knew where) and they would pay for it. They didnt tell him why either. yeeah that was creepy. and he had 5 days i think to sign up.. BUT HE DIDNT thank god. Also, my dad was in the indian ocean during the cold war and even then he was never allowed to tell my mom when he was coming home, assuming he knew. AND my friend's dad is STILL over seas even though his time is DONE. But ofcourse, my step brother likes it and never had any problems ??? go figure :$
Sheesh that's creepy. We don't have the kind of thing over here. Well there is always an army stand at career fairs but they never hound us. I probably say something only the lines of what Sunburst suggested. I've watched too much MASH to appreciate the army. TTFN Sage
oh no, my country is asking for help. I can't think of anything else to complain about... (as teenagers in other countries have their legs blown off... )
Hahaha! I just thought of something! "I'm sorry, I would love to, but I'm terminally ill. I have a brain tumor and I may not live too much longer..." Scare the crap out of them!
We should all have a protest outside our local army recruitment office! Wouldn’t that be a good idea? And maybe we could do something to block up the door, or blow the damn thing up after every one leaves. We need to find a way to disable the recruitment office. No recruitment office no recruitment right?
Violent protests are actually more likely to be listened to because they're the ones that get in the papers. Yeah, I remember when I was a Junior the army called me up. At that time, I was seeing a therapist. I mentioned that in the passing at some point, and for some reason, I never heard from him again!
