Hey man! I'm going to be moving up to North Bay in September...I used to live near Chatham about four months ago so I can understand the distance you moved.
Ecotourism! I've looked at enrolling for that. I don't know enough about it though to make a choice. My girlfriend starts school in October but we already paying rent on an apartment up there. After she's done with her school placement we are moving up. Probably the second week in September. It's all good though. I won't be going to school until the winter (January??) but Canadore is a great school.
It sounds like a real "hip" school. I hope I find people laying on the grass with flowers in their hair
Oh the school is BEAUTIFUL. Unfortunately I wont be staying in rez...got put on the waiting list & found a house. I'll be living on Norman street...right next to McKee & Giroux *right off Trout lake road.* And I guarantee you'll see me laying in the grass a lot of times at the college...after my run in the trails behind the college, lol.
Yeah, I got put on the waiting list...as #26...that was back in early june...still haven't heard anything from them. Did you enter their rez draw? It's like a lottery system...unfortunately I didnt get picked...

There are TONS of places on there. There was another site... Offcampusrez.com or something like that. I'll dig out my college junk tomorrow and put it up here for you.
ah damn sounds like a neat place, I like north bay ive been through there on my way to college in thunder bay. we even drove through blind river, I had to stop and listen to some neil young, in norhtern ontario
For those who have just moved to North Bay, Welcome! I hope that you can find some suitable apartments.... they are pretty hard to come by this close to September and rent is expensive in this town! This is the busiest weekend of the year in NB, so if you don't mind the crowds, have a good time and maybe check out The Doors 21C concert at the waterfront Saturday night.
