I'd like to know if hippies are growing in more numbers these days and if there's hope of us coming all together again in large numbers for festivals, gatherings and other things. I have know idea what's happening in the hippie scene these days as i live in Birmingham in England, one of the most un-hippie places in the whole of the UK. I was just wondering as i'm gradually starting to follow the hippie way of life and was thinking if hippies could have another chance to be 'big' again or whether we're just a thing of the past (that was a bummer of a thought, man that got me down!).
I think.. In between the scenes, is where your looking lies. Thats where you find other motivated young people. With fresh minds. Rainbow gatherings are a beautiful festival. Theres a national one ever summer in the US... But basically there is nothing outside of you that will satisfy you, you have to have that within before you can receive from the universe what you consiously intend. I think much grander than that movement of cosmic radiant energy, is what lies before us Now. Because our minds are crystalized patterns, subject to friction. When that is ultimatley released there is nothing holding back the tides of manifestation and Creation.
I fucked this up haven't I? Oh well, I guess I only really wanted to know if hippies were ten feet tall!
So what happens if you call Alice when she's only nine feet tall? but seriously, the hippie vibe is all around. Green Party (I was banging on doors for Green UK in 1989 for Europarliment), Rainbow (see the rainbow forum for Europe events), music scenes, liberal politics (small L-liberal, not capital L..that's for new drivers), the Eco movement in general. Perhaps the question is how do we live it, how do we manifest it. Claro?
