This is a poem I wrote for my mom for mothers day when I was in grade 10. Going Through Life By Damaya (Grade 10) Dedicacted to my mom for mothers day You always told me to eat right You were there when I took my first bite You held my hand As we, at the beach danced in the sand You sang to me a lullaby That would light the night’s sky You sat by my bedside until I fell asleep You read to me until I fell asleep You are a great mother I couldn’t have asked for another When I was little you bathed me As if I in a deep, blue sea You loved and looked out for me Even when I scraped my soft, small knee The joy and love from your heart That was your main part When you grow old I shall wrap you in a blanket blocked from the cold I will sit by your bedside until You under your cozy covers your light head rested Close your eyes and fall asleep Just as you have done for me
