Buffalo/Niagara Falls, NY Family - Local Circle Forming

Namaste!

This is just sort of a "feeler" message for any brothers & sisters in the Buffalo/Niagara Falls/Western New York region who may be interested in forming a local circle. I'm sure there are many of you out there, myself included, who would love to stay connected with local Family during the times when we're not gathered on the Land. This seems like it would be a perfect opportunity. Wouldn't it be wonderful to get together for potlucks, drum circles, solstice/equinox celebrations, and random acts of togetherness? Just because this isn't as progressive an area as Ithaca, for example, doesn't mean we can't come together and focus our energy locally. Once intensified, this energy could be spread forth across the region and the nation.

I envision this new energy helping to strengthen our N.E.R.F. (North East Rainbow Family) brothers and sisters through helping to focalize North East regional gatherings, the N.E.R.F. national kitchen, and various regional happenings. Though our family as a whole needs healing, so does our regional family. We have been going through some tough times these last few years. The cycle needs to be broken before our family continues to splinter even further. For those of you close with N.E.R.F., you know as well as I do that a beautiful vision (not to mention an INCREDIBLE kitchen) is gasping for breath right now. Together, I think we could help breathe life back into this wonderful Family.

Hopefully the Spirit will move some of you local brothers and sisters to respond to this message. If enough interest is expressed over the next few weeks, a Howdy Folks! will be posted with the date, time and location of the first Buffalo/Niagara circle.

Howdy, altho we live in WV, we also have a 165 acre farm in Western NY. May be doing some Rainbow related stuff there next year... We have family living there who are interested. They have no computer, so I'll send this message on by snail mail...

Hey guys... well, I'm pretty close to your neck of the woods.. but I'm over that bridge.. Dam I hate that thing.. I'm hoping one day we tear down the borders, and people travel without haste.

Anyhow, how’s everything on your end of the pond? Been a while since we've gone over.. I would say since last summer when we caught the dead at Darien Lake... (besides that, it was probably the summer before) (same band but with Joan Osborne.. yea... Anyhow, we might be heading your way to catch Ratdog in a few weeks..

Anyone else heading out to Buffalo?

I just moved to Syracuse, NY and am interested in joining up or at least seeing what the rainbow family is all about...

I've been searching a bit though and it seems the only groups close to me would be philly or NYC... I guess buffalo would be closer than those...

I'd be interested but I wouldn't be able to drive to buffalo *that* often.. hell, I don't even have a car.
