"Black Eyed Dog" by Nick Drake. That song gives me the chills. (It's my first post at the Hipforums. 'Ello everyone!)
You must thinkin that i'm jokin when i told you that i've got a Bee Gees song in mind... i don't know if it's the most depressing song i've heard but it's in my top list! I taste those sounds with joy mostly for the Baroque (dark) pop quality of the song. This song is "I don't wanna live inside Myself" and it hurts more than all emo songs of emo bands... They recorded this song in 1971 ...so there's no relation at all with their late 70's disco sound... But there's probably some songs written by Brian Wilson in this list too that include the classic " 'Til I Die ".
me too. "died" by alice in chains. (get it--it's on the album "music bank". lyrics are here:http://www.lyred.com/lyrics/Alice+in+Chains/Music+Bank/Died also, the entire mad season album, "above" is very sad. and "sad" by pearl jam peace. LP
The most depression song I ever heard is Goodnight Saigon by Billy Joel..I heard it for the first time when i was like 6 and it made me cry
Well there's Hey You , Nobody Home and Brain Dommage all by Pink Floyd ... I need You by America is pretty sad too ,
There are so many. 1.The Kids-Lou Reed. It has real kids crying on it! I think Bob Ezrin told his kids they couldn`t go to Disneyland because they were bad, or something like that... and then he fucking recorded it for this album. How sad is that? 2.Holocaust-Big Star Your mother`s dead, she`s in her bed. And enjoying the rest of your life is impossible. 3.Goodbye Cruel World-Pink Floyd He`s going to kill himself, and there`s nothing you could say to make him change his mind. 4.Hurt-Johnny Cash Trent Reznor was too adolescent to really feel sorry for. But when Johnny Cash is sad, you pay attention... because he`s sad, but he`s also angry at God. 5.Caroline, No-The Beach Boys How did you lose that happy glow? I don`t know. Life`s just like that. And it sucks.
foo fighters-In Your Honor Can you hear me. Hear me screamin'. Breaking in the muted skies. This thunder heart. Like bombs beating. Echoing a thousand miles. Mine is yours and yours is mine There is no divide. In your honor I would die tonight. Mine is yours and yours is mine I will sacrifice. In your honor I would die tonight. For you to feel alive. Can you feel me. Feel me breathing. One last breathe before I close my eyes. This suffering For receiving. Deliver me into the other side. For you to feel alive. and simple man by lynard skynard... it was played at a funeral martha wainwright-dont forget
Don't Cry by Gun's and Roses, Since I've Been Loving You by Led Zeppelin, That's the Way by Led Zeppelin...so many others.....um...Yesterday by the Beatles......WILD HORSES by the Rolling Stones......um.....i think thats all i can think of for now....
tears in heaven by eric clapton... recorded its not the greatest but i haeva live recording of him performing it with no backup, just him and his acoustic guitar.. its really sad
Pretty much the whole Wall album by Pink Floyd is depressing. Gives bad vibes when high, or when alone just listening to it by yourself. Just something about alot of the songs whether it be the lyrics, music, or Roger Water's voice, or a combination of all three it is just depressing.
