    They're baaaccckkk.
Hey, ya gotta give these guys credit.
Mick Keith and Charlie are in their 60's, Ronnie Wood is 57. Imagine like your grampa strutting on stage dressed in purple satin, shaking his ass,
They did a lot of their hits (closing with It's Only Rock And Roll (But I lIke It) and a few new tunes.

Now, the Stones are my 2nd all-time favorite band. I've seen them live 8 times.
I saw a clip of them to-night and they STILL kick it. (So does Sir Paul, btw).
What I like most about The Stones (and Sir Paul) is they're not so much motivated by money. They've got more $$ than they can spend.
They're out there for the most admirable of reasons--they like to play rock and roll for people.

    So rock on Stones.

They are STILL in the hall of fame. But, dude, Even Ozzie knows when to retire and enjoy the spoils of fortune? Like spending time with the kids. In Micks case, that may be Grandkids! Take a day off guys.

What do age and the price of tickets have to do with anything? This is all everyone talks about when the Stones tour, and it makes me a bit angry.

In no other "profession" do they tell people "you're too old, you should stop".
Picasso didn't stop painting until he died. No one told Andre Segovia to give up guitar because he was in his eighties. And NO ONE even MENTIONED to Muddy Waters or John Lee Hooker, that they should stop, due to age!

Playing rock and roll is what the Stones do...and they obviously enjoy it, or they would stop. They have no other motivation besides the love of music and playing for people. Every damn one of them is richer than you and I put together times 10, so.....how is this a money issue?

They put on the biggest show around....ticket prices ranged from $50-$75 on up. Easily affordable, in my book, even for the poorest of dirt farmers like us. People pay just as much to see the Dead....I don't hear any hippies begging THEM to stop.

OK, so I'm a little angry....But, just some points to ponder, kids.

if they are the richest bands alive, they shouldnt worry about charging that much for tickets, I understand they gotta pay stagehands and stuff.......but what gives, seriously?? you are talking 50-75 for crappy seats too. if you want a decent seat, you better shell out 250 dollars.

Hmmmm.....let's see. About three dozen semis, buses and planes. 250 - 300 people on the payroll, to keep the show moving, day to day.

You get to see one of the greatest bands ever, period. $300 is still a pretty good deal.

But, I guess they should cater to every broke ass hippy in America and elsewhere...just play for free, in a field somewhere with bongos and acoustics. Yeah, that would be SOOOOO much better.

They will come to Argentina on Feb! and im pretty sure they wont gain a lot of money for being here, just enough to bring all the equipment and stuff.

Well kinda see you're point, but I think it is a bit excessive for tickets. I mean, hell, they each must be multi-millionaires personally by now, I'm sure they don't need or want all that, give a bit for the load of us who can't afford to hear the music, the music they create and want to be heard.

If I was that rich, I'd pay for a huge gig myself and free admission... spread the music, not about money :)

But I'm not saying they should do it free... just lower the prices :)

    Peace & love to y'all!
