    Please don't stone me!!

ALLLLL of my cats have fleas and even though we've bathed, sprayed and flea-collered them I found one on the back of my neck. Urgh!
Anyway, I know that nits can be transmitted by knatty and non-knatty heads but would fleas have a chance in dready hair??? I'm probably getting overly paranoid but every itch I get I think I've got fleas!! Please reassure me (or freak me out!) Ta!

I dunno, mang. Fleas don't like to live on humans, or so the vet tells us. Every damn cat we get has fleas, no matter what we do. I get the occasional bite, but I've never gotten (or noticed) any fleas or bites on my head.

I've lived near a beach most of my life and had cats most of the time so of course we have sand fleas every warm spell. The only way to keep them down i've found is to flea comb the cat and mix nutritional yeast into her feed. It seems the fleas hate the smell/taste of te B vitamins in the yeast and it'll drop the flea count by at least 90%. Adding it to your diet also works to keep the nasty little ankle biters off you. Good Luck!
