Check out dave brubek and Paul Desmond, i cant get enough of them. Im into John coultrane, Miles Davis, herbie hancok, Charlie Parker, Hank Mabley, and generally people of that style. I play jazz violin, improv being my main thing. I jus' love it.

Take 5 is genious. To be able to write something in 5 time must be really difficult (it was actually paul desmond (the keys player) who wrote that one though, but dave got the lead part).

Since I've started playing jazz and not concentrating all my playing time on songwriting, my lyrics have become rather odd, to say the least. Ironically, I've written more good songs in the week or two I've been playing jazz than in the couple of weeks before I got addicted.

Jazz music won't get out of my brain, man.
