Bukowski?

    My two favorites are Ham on Rye and Post Office, which would both make for good starters. With Bukowski you can start pretty much anywhere. But those two books I mentioned are two of his best.

    There is a lot of his poetry online which is also worth checking out.

    I agree; you can start pretty much anywhere with Bukowski. Three or 4 years ago I was bored at school when my roommate tossed Women at me. I finished it that night & ended up reading most of his novels. After you've read a bunch, check out Bukowski & the Beats. Its a great book about his relationship with all the great beat writers & his apprehension to being called a beat poet or writer. Plus, it has a bunch of pictures & his doodles in it.

    i agree that with bukowski you can start pretty much anywhere... you just gotta have the stomach.

    i like Pulp a lot, very sharp.
