The first tattoo I got was in that same spot. If you want to know if it hurts...of course it does. But it is absolutely worth it. The pain is not that bad, and once the tattoo is over, the pain is gone. I say go for it. Good luck

Everyones pain tolerance is different.. I dont have a tat there but my friend does and she said it didnt hurt, but she is like a warrior or something cause she has a very high tolerance to pain..
when i got mine, which is on my leg.. it stang for about 5 seconds then went numb..
but that was on a different part and not the same area you are getting it done in..
But I assume it goes numb after a while anywhere you get it done at..
    good luck...

I have one there, and I've had 2 babies. It hurt a lot, and was bruised for about a week after. Felt like I'd been kicked with a steel-toe cowboy boot. :D

It stretched a bit, but not real bad. I'm the only one who can tell. They artist said she can fix it no prob, I want to get it re-coloured some time anyway, it's 11 years old...

Yeah, that's one reason why I'm so careful about the placement of my tattoos. I'm so worried about spending ALL THAT MONEY to get a tattoo that I love, then when I get pregnant it gets all funky and stretched out...no fun...

It's different for everyone, the pain that is.
For me, [just got my first tattoo a few days ago] it wasn't too painful, more or less just felt like a lot of pressure.

As my tattoo artist informed me ...the least painful place to get a tattoo is on an area with lots of muscle, second least being fat--- and most painful, of course would be bone. Unless you have a really bony tummy I wouldn't fret over it too much :)

To me the day after my tattoo was finished was more painful than actually getting it--MAKE SURE YOU DON'T TENSE UP WHILE HE/SHE IS TATTOOING YOU! Fuck, I tensed up for the first 5 minutes of my tattoo so bad that the next day all the muscles around my tattoo were aching as if I did some strenuous weight lifting the day before.

I have four tats. My stomache was my second one and I figured since it was a nice fleshy spot the pain would be minimal... But alas; I was wrong. My stomache tat stands out as my most painful for some reason. It bled a lot more than the others, too.

PS On the car ride home, watch the seat belt. It tends to rub it and damn, that hurts!
