I'm supposed to be flying to Canada on bank holiday monday, and dads turned round to me and said he cant take me to Manchester for my flight cause hes decided to go away with mum for the weekend. No way can I get up there by myself on a bank holiday
Look on the bright side hey you might not go to canada but you get to partake in all the traditional bank holiday activities: watchin piss poor tv, gettin drunk etc. wow i love bank holidays they're a little like every other day
Considering this trip has been planned for 5 months and i havent seen my girlfriend (who im staying with) for 6 months I better bloody well get there!
Have you checked the National Express sites? They have services running on Bank Holidays, I'm certain they do. You might have to get a very early one and wait around for a few hours until your flight, but it'll be worth it.
Get-a-grip!-The-whole-thing-goes-tits-up-cos-daddy-can't-give-you-a-lift?....hmmm...very-dissapointed-in-you Train-it-to-London-then-get-a-cheapy-megabus-to-manchester http://www.megabus.com/ Good-luck-mate
I just checked http://www.thetrainline.com, you can get from Worksop to Sheffield then Sheffield to Manchester Airport. They won't have suspended all the services because of the bank holiday, there is still a chance to get there. Get your arse to the train station and have a long talk with the ticket people about the bank holiday services! Do it, or else I'll do it for you. Actually, no. Do it, or else no bugger else will do it for you.
Hey man, try national coaches, I'm going Malta for 2 weeks on bank holiday monday & i'm getting a coach @ 3 in the morning so there are coaches running there & it was cheap as well try this http://www.nationalexpress.com/bp/b1.cfm?id=34120649

Fifty five miles would take 16 hours of walking by my calculations, not including rests, eating and sleeping. I doubt that anyone could do a walk that long without a lot of exercise and training beforehand, and this fellow doesn't have time for that.
I feel so much fitter after all that walking.. and my mother commented on me looking nice and trim.. So I'm happy
I bhaven't seen Trickster's Child since he made his last post in this thread. I think he's taken the walking advice and has set out early to avoid the rush.
