N.E.R.D. rocks, and the shit you listen to is shit.

N.E.R.D.'s new album "Fly or Die" is the best album that came out in the last 5 years. Or even the last 15. Yes, better than even the best of several abysmal Blink 182 CDs. Yes, better than every single pathetic effort Nirvana's made at striking a musical chord. Nothing compares.

N.E.R.D. has one thing that I haven't heard on the radio for years... talent. Musicianship. Creativity. They write and they do it damn well. Not any of that 4 bar melody bullshit with a crappy improvised guitar solo in the middle. None of that shit. This is what music is supposed to sound like. Variation. Ternary form.

And, as a bonus... BANDS THAT SUCK:

Blink 182: Bad lyrics? Check. Unoriginality? Check. A feigned punk attitude? Check. Suck? Check.

Avril Lavigne: This chick is, not only a bad writer, but a bullshitter besides.

Franz Ferdinand: I suppose they're hot shit now, for whatever reason. I heard "Take Me Out" today and I noticed that the song lacked lyrics almost completely. Almost as shitty as the group that did "Maps".

Techno/Trance/Electronica: Hey, let's make music, but without the melody! No. Please don't.

Slipknot/Linkin Park: Crybabies. Crybabies that use the same melody in multiple songs, no less.

Nelly: I hope it's getting hot under your fucking collar, because, thankfully, your career is going down the drain.

I count six names and then an entire genre, containing thousands of artists, but maybe I'm counting incorrectly.

Anywho, I've had the N.E.R.D. CD since it hit stores which was a few months ago.

Well, I must admit that I slept at night, but I did listen to it during the day. Hell, it's been in my CD player since I got it. It's playing right now.

 

OK. You think that those musicians are "crap" well what if someone thinks that the "shit" you listen to is "shit"?

A. Be a whiney bitch and say that they are wrong just because you have a different preference

or wil you:

B. Accept that each person has their own personal preference with music. Even if it is different to yours.

look kid, there are thousands of bands better than this one you like and worse than yours. Granted I'll give N.E.R.D. the benifit of the doubt, I've never heard of them. But just because you can't stand listening to the other types of music makes you the Professor of Knowlage?! LOL oh I needed a good laugh.

Seriously though. This is the Hippy land (Hip Forums) we are all suppose to get along and not cause ripples. so what if you like one band over another, i would be more inclined to say "hey I got the new Nerd Album and it rocks (or raps or what ever) you guys ought to check them out". Instead you start dogging everyone elses music. Yeah I don't like most of those bands you mentioned (sans Nirvana), but like in real life there are going to be people who disagre with you so I let it roll. Now get mad and pissy because I pointed that out to you, I don't care it's just letters typed up on the screen. A big man would agree with what i said and retort his actions.

But...

If you want to be a bed wetting little punk that has asparations of nailing his sister in the back seat of a 1974 ford maverick while listening to N.E.R.D. then I suggest you go to a forum that will support your efforts. Here we all try our best to get along and we also have something called "Ignore".

My friend is a Aphex fanatic and I have to listen to their horseshit "Creativity" whenever I'm in her car. Granted, they're some of the best in that genre, but they still suck.
