I'm sure plenty of us on here can be of assistance, but it'd help if you gave us a bit more information. What do you want to know exactly? Do you want to know about vegetarianism, in general.. why one might choose to be vegetarian.. health-related topics about vitamins and nutriets.. what you can and cannot eat.. Ask some more specific questions, and we'll be glad to help!

simply start buying new things. just set aside some time where you can spend a little more time than usual in the grocery store or preferrably the health/natural/whole food store(veg heavens) to bring new things into your diet. the only thing youll really be missing by cutting meat out of your diet is vitamin b12 and you probably have enough from all the animal products youve eaten to last you a few years before you need even think about.

protein is not easily assimilated from meat, try soy products, peanuts, or beans instead. protein isnt as important as many make it out to be, most americans eat 3 times more than they need. i would also recommend trying vanilla soy milk instead of dairy as well, the health and taste(and ecological) benefits are numerous : ) its really that simple after you learn about how inhumane, cruel and destructive the meat industry is.

and if you have any more questions im sure many people here would be glad to answer them : )

Here are some short answers to specific topics:

    Why to be Veg:
-Health Reasons- lowered risk of heart disease, cancer, obesity, and diabetes. Also, you will smell better.
-Ethical reasons- causing less harm to others, because farm factories treat the animals terribly
-Environmental Reasons- you'll use less of the earth's resources, because it takes more crops to feed an animal and then eat the animal, instead of just eating a lesser amount of crops to begin with. Also, reduces pollution/sludge runoff from farm factories.

    Major nutrition guidelines for vegs:
-You can get lots of calcium and iron from dark leafy greens like spinach and kale.
-You can get complete proteins from grains and legumes. Try rice and beans, or pita with hummus, for example.

    What isn't veg?
-All Meat, including chicken and seafood
-Gelatin (made from the bones of animals) This is found in jello, marshmallows, and some candy
-Rennet. Rennet is scrapings from animals' stomachs. It is found in many cheeses. Look for cheese that does not say rennet in its ingredients. Or if you want to go vegan (excellent for your health), just avoid cheese altogether/
