Any Texan Rainbows out there? I know there are groups in some of the larger cities but what about the rest of this big state? Im in Midland and seriously doubt any rainbows are around here. Come out come out wherever you are!

Yeah, it gets pretty lonely. But, Im kind of a home body, so maybe I need to look harder. Still, I don't think I would find many, though the other day I was running errands in town and there was a group of young people holding signs with statements about peace. One said "Honk if you love peace" I was the only car that honked. I was worried someone would follow me home and key my van.

Ya know folks, we all might need to try to get a strong TX circle together. Right now the east Tx Family does a regional, but it's a little on the road dog side of the Family. This thread is a good place to start.
Howdy Y'all! The hippiestead folks are kind of between Houston and Austin, a little closer to Austin. There are Rainbow folks hidden all over Texas, we know of a few folks in Amarillo; there's some folks in Nachadosious too, and there's family scattered all over in and around Austin.

That sounds like a great idea hippiestead. How do we do it? Texas is a big place! I was thinking about placing an ad in the local paper. Maybe we could put something on welcomehome or welcomehere. Im planning on going to a rainbow drum circle in Dallas soon, but its still not as close as I would like. Its hard to go anywhere far for me because I have 3 kids and my son has special needs.

Well, we're already planning a Thanksgiving get together at the hippiestead (3 of us live here-JuJu, Cinnamom, & V-kid) We hear that the drum circles in Dallas are fairly good sized; so the first place to start would maybe be to set up a weekly online TX Family chat and then promote it to Family in our various sections of TX.

    What's a good day & time for y'all?

tell ya what; we'll go start a Texas Rainbow group on Google so we can invite the folks we'd rather not direct to HipForums (some of the folks on AGR like to argue rather than discuss, don't need those kind of attitudes messing up the Rainbow chat lines here)

We'll let ya know how to get there soon as it's open.

    It's open!! http://groups.google.com/group/Texas-Rainbow-chat-group

It is a moderated group but anybody can join; we won't delete any posts unless they are unkind. Come check it out!
