Should I stay or should I go? (for it)

Ok, I am about to see a girl for what may be the last time in my life thaty i have some feelings for. I am thinking about doing something which some might consider a bit corny and out of sorts, and ive been jumping back and forth between go for it and not go for it and im wondering what you guys (mostly the chickies) would think about this. Ive known the girl since 9th grade but we only really talked for a while now. She broke up with her last bf about.... 3 months ago.


Anywho here goes, I bought her a graduation gift, the DVD of The Doors by Oliver Stone. I know she likes the doors a lot. I dunno if she owns the DVD or not, but i was shopping around the FYE Music store when I saw it, and sort of got the idea there. Anyway, what I have done is tapped a small note under the second DVD in the set, it has a small message and my cell number in it. and of course my signature. Now, what im wondering, would you guys and girlies say this was leaning toward the pointless corny BS sort of thing. Or do you think this would you know... make her be all like... whoo... and stuff?

That's great,in my opinion. That says that you have noticed something about her and you actually remembered it,and it's also very sweet.

 

well, i did go for it at graduation yesterday. She said she might buy me a gift or something since she didnt get me anything. She was really surprised at the time. She didnt believe me for a while when i told her i got her something. I guess i will just wait now and see if we are ever in touch again...

 

man hope it goes good for you im in the in a similar situation me and this girl have been going out and braking up for like the last year i might not see her again after this school year so i have to see what ill do i realy like her and last time i knew she realy liked me

 

Cheesiness has always worked for me - with my first girlfriend I did the whole bouquet thing with a note and that worked a charm. A girl who it looks like it could work out with had a song in our set list explicitally dedicated to her as well.

I know this is an old thread of mine, but i just had to update this very twisted
conclusion

let me start by saying, it was not the conclusion i was looking for, but its a good yarn anyway. I sent her the DVD and the note enclosed, sealed, and delivered. I waited awhile for a phone call, thinking about it every once in awhile, a few weeks into summer i got really busy and forgot about it pretty much entirely. She was the valedictorian of our class, this girl was frighteningly smart, but she never let it go to her head, and that is a good thing, people need to be able to let loose sometimes, even if you have a huge I.Q., right? Anyway, i moved into my new apartment and me and my old schoolmate, new roomate were thinking of our highschool times. We decided to call someone to come over, so we invited the semi-spastic guy we used to talk to occasionally. He came over and things were going well. Suddenly he let out the phrase, "Did you guys hear what happened with Jennipher?!" Suddenly a million thoughts raced through my head. What had happened to the girl I had set my eyes upon days before high school came to a close?? "Nobody knows where she is now!"

wtf?! Jennipher gone missing? how very strange, she usually spent her time milling around at home, going to walmart and other various semi-small town hangouts. "What happened?" I nervously questioned. "You haven't heard?! She met some guy at her job and went crazy for him! She left a note in her car for her parents, basically saying 'fuck you guys, im leaving.' and they are off living in some undisclosed location!"

It makes me wonder still, what sort of girl she was on the inside, underneath the exterior of brains and "Within-the-box-ness". She must've had something brewing inside her for a long time to make such a bold move for her future. I wonder if she will go to college with all the scholarship money she won, or if it will go to waste? Who is the mustery guy she left with? Is she still in town, or in some other part of the world?? The only update i heard from the story ever since is that she payphoned her parents just to ease their minds and tell them that she is ok and everything is going well. Her whereabouts exactly are still unknown.
