so, i found this giant pile of cow shit, with all sorts of white mushrooms growing out of it... im not to hep to mycology lingo, so, i'll just tell you what i know.

they dont seem to bruise, the stems are hollow, the caps are white, and turn to brownish in the middle. when you touch the brown part, a reddish color rubs off. im waiting on a spore print, i'll get some pictures soon too..

    any ideas?

That -does not- sound like psilocybe cubensis to me. They do have hollow stems, and goldish brownish caps getting lighter near the edges, but they usually bruise blue, and they have black-dark purple spore print.

What color are the gills? Very important. Are they attached or what.

Once you get pictures post them here for a positive ID - http://www.shroomery.org/forums/postlist.php/Cat/0/Board/mushID

Make sure you describe *everything* in detail, as well as have several different pics.

I'm sure you know not to eat shrooms without positively identifying them first, as you can die that way, or get very very sick. Many poisonous (and deadly) species of mushrooms closely resemble to psilocybe cubensis to the untrained eye. So good call in asking first.
