No, because you don't stay on one thing for very long. Possibly why you post the same point in many different places hoping to hear what you wish eventualy...then you can move onto something else (well the 8 topics you always post about) I don't mean any offence .. just a observation thats all.
I have a point of view like you and everyone else here, but you make it sound like I should change my point of view. No one here has convinced me of why I should do that. I often get personal attacks because I don't agree with the Right Wing views I have seen here and when I fight back I get called a hypocrite. Just an observation.
No, keep your point of view..just don't move on as soon as what you are hearing displeases you, or you have ne reply. Or someone asks you to explain your POV. I did , and got bugger all response (not that you should lose to much sleep about this ) . How many times you post the same stuff is what pisses people off. I have not noticed any thing hypocritical , just illogical sometimes..again thats why i ask for some explanation.
Hey, when you guys are wrong on so many levels, don't back up what you say, use the same tired old republican rhetoric, sometimes the best thing to do is ignore and move on. You are the one with the problem.
Not being 'Republican' i would not know about that, i just post what i think. You just stop. Tell people something they know already, and they will thank you for it. Tell them something new, and they will hate you for it
http://www.radicalhippie.com/pResident/morons_page.htm Not going to happen. I reserve the right to respond to the personal attacks made against me or anyone else. They are mostly made by republican posers which makes me doubt your sincerity in the anti-war movement. It would seem that if hippies truly want peace, we need all the help we can get. Besides, I really have nothing better to do at this time. :H
Misunderstanding, i was not saying stop. Just i reply to people that reply to me, however difficult the question maybe. You just stop (for whatever reason). I am not in the 'anti-war movement' and i am not a hippie .
The dollar is fucked. Ask any reputable economist and they will tell you. The dollar is a HORRIBLE investment right now.
sorry for the thread hijack, but... if our economy was anything that could possibly be considered "strong", it wouldn't come crashing down every time investors got the so-called "jitters". It's not just our market. It's global capitalism. It's a giant city built on sand. The markets inevitably become so over-inflated and so many layers of risk are stacked on top of each other that it is always doomed to fail. It's trying to use superficial ultra-short-term solutions to address real long term human societal issues. It may appear to some that it is working well right now -- but it is completely unsustainable in the long term. We can only take out so many mortgages on our collective childrens' futures.
quote: well it has been doing better and climbing against the euro, but if the euro is so strong, why is europe as a whole not having an economic boom? __________________ They started out as almost exactly equal, then the US economy went into the slump while the euro remained fairly constant.
quote: we have a 5% unemployment rate as compared to almost 3 times that in europe. in Europe, every single person can get unemployment for a certain period of time, here people that have had their own businesses, or go a few months without getting a new job are kicked off......the main issue is not unemployement, its underemployement...the government comes out with the employment statistics and its 150,000 new retail and food service jobs while the country has lost hundreds of thousands of lucrative manufacturing and trade type positions...even down to call centers etc. Frankly Gilligan, there isn't much positive news to report on the US economy at the moment, you can dig and try to find a tidbit or two, but thats all there is. No reason to cry about some upcoming doomsday, but no need to sugar coat reality either.
The seventies were pretty bad for a lot of folks. Not the same scale as the twenties, but in the scale of human history that's a pretty small amount of time. and I know you were joking about the war thing...but if this thing ends up leading to mass destabilization in the area (which is a very real possibility) then the global market could sufer as a result.
