i don't need to look at some pic somebody pulled off the internet to inflame an issue, and yes i did look at it. big whoop. bloodin a cow - that's not torture, that's butcherin. i have some personal experience with killing animals, i was raised a farm girl. we didn't torture the animals. just ate them.

yup, food preferance makes me greedy, immoral and uninformed. and ALL MY FARMIN FAMILY - we're all a bunch of ignerant meathead nazis. no, none of us run a commercial meat farm, but we do have food animals.

guess that's one reason why i don't like vegetarians preachin at me, cuz every insult you hurl at me you hurl at my grandma, grandpa, parents, siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles...

ya'll go right ahead and be yer holier than thou selves, with all yer 'facts' - cuz i'm over this argument anyways. I at least admit that i'm not perfect, nor do i demand from strangers over the internet to concede that my personal ideals are superior. i already 'debated' this ten months ago, and although idealouge rubbed me the wrong way at least he was sometimes funny in his diatribe.

hahahah. funny. Seriously though, I've seen plenty of statements like that around here - people saying that "clearly" veggies are smarter/nicer/better or whatever. There are a lot of veggies (hi doc!) who are rational and intelligent about these things, but equally there are some who just say whatever comes into their heads without thinking about it, and it doesn't do their cause any good. I think that is the source of a lot of the annoyance that meat-eaters feel toward veggies - often the only time I actually know someone is a veggie is when they're telling me that "obviously" all murderers are meat-eaters, and that veggies are "clearly" nicer people. :/

 

there are nice veggies and there are nice omnis, smart veggies, smart omni's, it's all a roll of the dice

there might be a higher probability of a smart person being a veggie because veggies tend to crop up more as you get into higher tax brackets, also people who's intelligence is found and nurtured are more common amongst people who have more money, granted that is one example there probably all sorts of groups shaped like that, I'd personally percieve that there are more smart people on the left and I'd bet money that there are more veggies on the left, but that doesn't mean cleanly anything

there is a superficial correlation, but there is also a correlation between a rise in lefties and a rise in UFO sightings, that doesn't mean that lefties are aliens, though some people might misinterpret the data that way, it's all in how you see the numbers

I heard that Hitler may have had a slight stomach problem or allergy to meat.

But I've never heard anything about Hitler being veg because he was compassionate.

He is an anomaly in the human race, from no matter what aspect you're considering.

Being vegetarian does not mean you are racist, or anti-human. Although many vegetarians are very against the terrible things that humans as a species do- and justly so.

 

i can cite 'proof' about as well as i can scientifically prove that global warming is happening. i just know in my heart, because i have one. and i dont to give you any number or any bullshit like that. you are a closed minded meat-eater who is not going to change and probably cannot change or learn to love, so why even bother??? healthy people are happy people, and healthy good hearted people are showered with blessings of synchronocity and love and destiny.. its as simple as that. so why your eating meat filled with antibiotics and gobs of other toxins and destroying and clogging your heart and arteries.. i am enjoying a clean, true and pure heart, love. and my destiny will unfold with that much more true happiness that much smoother as opposed to whatever else meat eaters force themselves though because their confused people. im not gonna say some meat eaters are not gifted, because i have read amazing stuff from some of them before(not you)... but its just so much easier to tap into those gifts if you have a truely healthy balanced heart. some vegetarians might not be healthy, so there are exceptions, just like with everything.

Hey, ophelia68977 I was a vegetarian when I was your age. Then one day I was going for a walk , worked up a bit of an appetite, went past a shop selling take away chicken & chips with curry sauce. I gave in to temptation. It was the best thing I tasted in a long while. Up to that point I had been eat all that Sanitarium food out of tins such as their nut loaf. You still buy most of that stuff. I would never go back eating such "healthy" food.

 

To be honest, I'm not sure what you're trying to express here. That health food is bad and that it comes in a can? Isn't sanitarium an old term for an insane asylum?

 

Sanitarium is a brand name of vegetarian "health food" that is owned by the the Seventh Day Adventist church. I am not sure if it is all that healthy. I suppose I could eat many things if I was hungry enough such as pork pies that I would not normally.

I suppose it is somewhat arbitary to what is health food.

 

Of course he was pissed. He trusted her to give him the food that he knew, not substitute for artificial crap that he could be allergic to or worse....How could he trust her ever again? Although I am trying to cut down on red meat for health and cost reasons, I would never "trick" my husband into eating a substitute...we have tried a few and he knows about every one.

If the shoe was on the other foot and I lied to and fed you meat for 2 months, you'd be pissed too.
